Heya! I know where you are! LOL I got my surgery at Dr Krahn's in the St. Bernardines hospital in San Bernardino. I loved the whole experience, and I am still loving it. I am losing like crazy, doing well. I need to update my ticker, lol, but I am down to 270 now. :clap2: I haven't found any support groups. :phanvan I know they have them at St. Bernardines every month, but I can't make it there, I live 2 hrs away, and I don't drive. Where are you going to be banded?

I have a system. I walk a mile and do an aerobics video daily. I have a few videos so I don't get too bored. I am still on pre op, so I don't want to lift weights yet. Any ideas on keeping your motivation?

I am officially on the "band" wagon! LOL I was banded 9-20-06, and I came home the next day. I haven't had any complications, I am feeling great. I am able to drink a lot of fluid. Is that common'? I thought my stomach would hold less than what I am drinking.

I am having surgery Wednesday, go for my pre op Tuesday. I am SUPER nervous!!!!! I am also on only liquids, and have been for 3 weeks. Talk about a month in HELL!!! LOL Believe me it's not that bad. It just sucks when I am cooking for my family, it is so hard not to nibble.

Hello!! My name is Julie, I am 21years old. I am married to an awesome man, Brandon. We have 2 gorgeous little girls. Kaylee is 2, and Venissia is almost 7 months. We live in Johnson Valley, California, the nearest big city is Palm Springs. I am on my pre op diet for the lap band surgery. I should be getting it done sometime next week. We are shooting for 9-21. MY surgeon is Douglas Krahn from San Bernardino. I am having 3 protein shakes a day and nothing else. It is super hard, but I need to shrink my liver, and I reallly want this surgery. Thank you all for the wonderful welcome! I am on day 6 of the diet... I am not sure how many lbs the doc wants off, but I am calling monday and hopefully I get my day!! YAY!!

I talked to the drs office today and they told me to continue on the liquid diet, and tons of exercise, they want me to lose a little more weight before they do the surgery. I call on monday and hopefully they will give me a date!!! I am crossing my fingers!!

Hello! I am a newbie here. I am 5'2, 290 lbs, so that makes my BMI 53. I am on the pre op liquid diet, and I should be having my surgery hopefully next week. I am miserable on this diet, but at my last appointment on september 8th I was 300. So 10 lbs in 4 days is phenomenal!!! yay!! I am inspired by all if your weight loss stories!!!

I am supposed to have surgery on the 21st, I will know the exact date tomorrow. I am on the liquid diet. I am drinking 3 8oz shakes a day. It is super hard, but I have 150 lbs to lose and I am determined!!!
