Hi, I just swallowed a chunk of cooked carrot. It feels like it is just sitting in my chest area. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks,

I thought I was losing my mind. I had a fill on November 19th. I felt fine for the first couple of weeks. Suddenly my band feels very tight. I'm chalking this up to irritation as I had a stuck incident last week and (I know too much info - have vomited about 4 times this week. Is it normal to feel tighter a week or two after the fill? Have you heard of others having this issue? Thanks,

I was banded in March 2010. I've been losing weight but losing a bit slowly which I don't mind too much. I had a fill on November 19 and felt great for the first couple of weeks. I was eating less, but still very comfortable. All of a sudden I can't eat a thing. Every bite or drink I take feel like it stays in my throat. I'm not sure what is going on since I was fine for a few weeks after the last fill. Any ideas?

I was banded on March 8th and have lost about 20 pounds since. I have a large band and have been filled to about 5.5 cc. I do get stuck from time to time, if I don't chew well. However, I can still eat quite a bit and not feel uncomfortably full. For me the point of the band was to force me stop eating and this is not happening. Any words of wisdom? Thanks,

What does restriction feel like

I wish I could do as you suggested. So much of my eating is emotional that it overpowers the actual feeling of hunger. It is really sad. -
I had similar thoughts for years before deciding on moving forward with the lapband. I kept thinking I should be able to lose weight on my own and did not need surgery to be successful. However, one night having dinner with my mom and aunt who are also obese I realized I did not want to end up like them. I wanted to live a long and healthy life and it was not going to happen being obese. Again, it took me 3 or 4 years to acknowledge I need a tool to help me lose weight. Once I made the decision there was no looking back. I was banded on March 8th. I've been fortunate that the surgery and recovery went smoothly. In the end, I think someone has to be ready to accept they need help to move forward with the surgery. I was at that point. I must say that since the surgery I have a big load off my shoulders. I know that I am finally doing something about my weight.

I was banded on March 8th and have the same fears. Everytime I feel like I need to eat (because I'm bored or watching tv, etc) I grab a glass of water. It seems to satisfy me.

Thanks All. I know I should get tested for the apnea again. For now, the great thing is I no longer feel tired during the day. I should have had this surgery years ago.

Hi, I had lap band surgery on March 8th and have lost about 10 pounds since the surgery. I have sleep apnea and cannot sleep wth my cpap on. My husband says that I have stopped snoring completely. I must be sleeping better as I don't feel tired during the day. Has anyone stopped snoring after lapband surger? I was hoping I would eventually stop snoring (once I lost weight). I'm just surprised the snoring has stopped so quickly. Thanks,

Hi, I was banded on March 8th. I can relate to the gas pains and itching. However, what has really helped me with the hunger is plenty of Water and herbal teas and lots of Protein. I've been eating the following daily: I've been mixing a 1/4 cup cottage cheese with a 1/4 cup nf greek yogurt for breakfast. lunch is a Protein shake, with 1/3 of a banana, (I really like the unjury advertised on this site) and dinner is a cream based Soup (about a half cup or so). I'm eating three times a days and if I feel hungery inbetween I take in liquids. Again -
Hi, I was banded on Monday and feel ok other than a lot of bloating. I've been put on a stage 2 diet and told to eat until I am full. Problem is I'm not sure when I'm actually hungery. My stomach makes noises (growls) is this hunger or a recovering stomach? I know this sounds crazy. Also, any ideas on when the bloating will go away? Thanks,
