I am 50 and have been fat for 15 years now.  I am so sad that I wasted my 40's thinking about losing weight every day of my life and not succeeding and constantly beating myself up over it.  I did a little emotional eating when I was stressed over raising step children.  Once that was over, the weight just wouldn't come off.  Then there was Thyroid issues, then blood pressure, now glucose is borderline!  Yikes!  Enough already.  I love to cook and we love to dine out.  I have made alot of steps in the right direction.  I don't drink as often, I order fish when out, I don't eat the bread or potatoes, but once you've gained the weight it's just impossible to take off.  So, here's to the band and my surgery date of 4/8/2010 !!!!!  Yeah!!!! To a Better Life!
