Hi!I decided to get a Lapband after realizing that I have been struggling with my weight for 25 of my 34 years.I have lost weight on diets in the past, but have never been able to maintain it.I am 34, married for 6 years, and in a big hurry to have children. I had not planned on weight loss surgery. I recently got prescribed the weight loss drug Meridia and thought that would be the tool I needed to successfully loose weight.I lasted 5 days on it before having a horrible allergic reaction. I decided to immediately go to the next step and scheduled a consult with a  bariatric surgeon.It all happened so fast! I met the surgeon on December 7th. He immediately approved me for surgery and I have a surgery date of January 12th.I am beyond excited! :)
