Hiya FatCat... am I terrified? Absolutely!! I'm not self-pay, but I am still scared to death that I wont be able to do it even after the surgery. But, I am past the point of no return, because I am even more terrified of what WILL happen should I not do it. I have 2 young kids...and if I don't do it, I will die. But, I have faith that with the 'training' I am getting pre-op (for about 6 months) that I will learn enough to do what I need to do. It's all about lifestyle change, and the band is ONLY a tool necessary to help. It's not going to cure my weight problem, but will give me something to help cure it myself. Support groups are awesome.. and from what I see here... these guys are too!! Talk with your doc and get all the info you can on it...knowledge always brings up our confidence!
