Hi, I have an 11cc band, was banded oct.2009 and to date have lost 70lbs. I am filled at 9.75 and thought something was wrong because I'm filled so tight but works for me. My Dr said I am the tightest patient filled out of an 11 cc band. I had an upper GI and all went down. It all varies with each individual. Good Luck

Thanks all for such good information. Banded for over 2 years, 70 lbs down 40 to go. All of sudden when I walk fast or exercise I have shortness of breath and have problems getting food down but does go down within a few min, with that awful pain in chest. And my shortness of breath goes away. I thought maybe has to do with esaphigus after reading blogs. I did have an upper GI and fine but strange after 2 years am experiencing this. I think the shortness of breath is better but will keep an eye on it. Any thoughts? Thanks

Congrats on your weight loss! I have had my band for over 2 yrs. and only have lost 70 with 40 to go. All of a sudden I have experienced shortness of breath when I exercise and it goes away when I stop. For 2 years have never had this happen and am finding as well food hard to go down with the painful feeling. I first experienced when I was in Lake Tahoe with high altitude and not sure if that would make a difference. It still happens although not as bad. I thought maybe had something to do with my esaphigus. I am quite tight but for over a yr. has worked well for me. I'm perplexed as to why. Anyone else experiencing same?

I love reading all the blogs as it encourages me. I was banded oct 2009, starting at 297 and am at 247. I thought I would lose more but so glad to have done this journey. I am at 9.75 of an 11cc band and seems like I could do one more fill maybe to 10. I'm still having the problem of my eating not getting the message to my brain to stop. It seems as if certain foods I can eat alot of. Are there any out there with the same feelings?
