hello my name is amy i am a 31 year young woman with 2 amazin kids, and find myself not having any energy to do anything with them.  so as a rn at des peres hospital i met dr. minkin, he has an amazing bed side manner with his patients he is a wonderful teacher and always nice to his nurses! so this along with several other reasons i started researching gastric bypass surgeries.  i have decided on the lap band and have my first appt in less than 24 hours. i am excited and anxious and feel nothing can happen quick enough.....i am ready to be a healthier mom a better wife and a happier nurse.  i am not really focused on a number of pounds or a particular size....i am focused on being able to play with my kids and not get sort of breath...not be ashamed when i take off my clothes of what i see..even though my husband says that he  loves my heart and my body is a bonus....i want to not waddle up and down the halls at work......i want to live!
