Sounds like you may need an adjustment. I have had 4 fills all about .5 cc's each and I am finally at the point where I feel restriction. I would make an appt with your doctor and take it from there. Good luck!

Was banded in July 2008 and getting a new band in 2011

maybe you were not ready the first time around. This is your second chance, so take it and run with it. This place has a lot of mentor and we are all willing to help, but the hardest part is you getting yourself on that path. It is all up to you and the rest falls into place. Good luck! -

OMG...I was so excited when I tried on size 10 slacks and they fit. A bit snug, but they fit! I'm not losing weight, but it looks like I'm dropping sizes.

I need 12 more lbs to go to get to my 100 lb goal and Will is just not in my life right now....I need to refocus!

Yes this is Bandster hell!!! Lots of self control...You have to follow and your Dr's instructions and try not to eat more than a cup of food depending on your stage. I wasn't able to eat any solids for 4 weeks. If you want to be successful you will need to sacrifice, but trust me...it will all be worth it!

What if you eat a little more than a cup of food?
mcastane replied to nomorejellybelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are eating more than a cup of food or feel that 1 cup is just not filling you up, then you might need to get an adjustment on the band. You may want to call your Dr to better determine. -

I seriously could have slapped her
mcastane replied to arittel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't stand that....I have lost 85 lbs in 9 months. There will always be people that will rain on your parade. I went to a family birthday party and of course my cousin that is probably my size before surgery sees me eating some nachos...something I would really never eat, but they looked good and I said why not. So she tells me"You can eat that?" I said "Yes, in moderation you can eat anything" and she says "and you call that moderation" Yes peeps my eyes are bigger than my stomach, and I didn't finish the plate I served, but there was no need for that comment. Unlike her...I have already lost 85 lbs so that should show her that eating nachos that day was not going to be the death of me! I might have gained a lb from eating the rest of the words I wanted to tell her, but it was not worth it! I just say ignore...they are just jealous! -

3 years in and not quite getting it still...
mcastane replied to fedz's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My first fill my Dr gave me 4cc's but that was too much. I ended up with 1 cc that day. After 4 fills I have 2.5 cc's in my band, but that is all I have needed and I have lost 82 lbs in 8 months. I have a total of 100 lbs to lose and the 2.5 ccs is working. I must say that will power and the decision to make the right choices is also yours and plays a huge role in your success. If you Dr is not listening to you, I would definately find a new one. Good luck! -

This is the place to come to vent. The first couple weeks are the hardest and yes during that time I never really realized how many food commercials there was on TV everyday, ALL THE TIME! I know it's easier said than done, but it does get better, just make sure you tell yourself that you will be able to eventually eat all the good stuff out there but now in moderation of course, but you will be able to eat slithers of them in the future and that will be enough. This strick eating is only temporary and when you see results like you have, it makes it so much easier to stick to it. I have lost 78 lbs so far and no one can say it's been easy, but I don't regret one minute of it! Good luck!

I went on vacation in July and had a fill in June and did great on my vacation at an all inclusive resort! I ate everything, but the good part is that it was all portion control and of course you already have your mentality to try to make better choices....not that I did all the time, but the restriction did help. I had about 2 stuck episodes out there and so just to avoid that out there, I watched the majority of my food. I would never encourage an unfill. In this case portion control is what helped. I only gained 2 lbs which I lost the 1st week I got back!
