Hi, My name is Lisa.  I have struggled with being overweight or yo yoing since a young child. I have always been able to lose the weight before with exercize and diet, but since 2006, I was dx with Multiple Sclerosis and it makes it impossible to exercise enough to raise my heart rate to lose weight.  It is very painful as well and self defeating effort.  I have tried just dieting, no luck.  I am miserable, never weighed this much.  I also have high blood pressure, arthritis, MVP and a hiatal hernia.  I know weight loss can do nothing but improve my chances of dealing with my heatlh problems, just hoping it doesnt prevent the procedure chances.  I am praying I am making the right choice.  Hoping I can find a doctor close by that accepts Medicaid.  I live in Alabama, between Huntsville and Birmingham.  Beleive me, if i were only able to walk as I used to to exercise, I would be so happy.  I don't know any other way now.  If anyone can relate or offer me any advice, info, etc.....i would be grateful.  I am today, making phone calls to surgeons hoping to find one to accept my insureance and that I qualify.  Anyone's personal experience is welcome to me.  I am at the end of my rope.
