Hi all! Haven't had time to catch up on all of the posts so I hope everybody had a great weekend! Step son's 16th birthday party went well last night and he had a good time! Boot camp tomorrow and I am ready! I will hopefully be able to catch up later tonight! But if not I will just start over tomorrow!

Hi all and happy Friday evening! I hope everybody is looking forward to the weekend! It is going to be a busy one for us! We have a basketball game, cup stacking tournament, and my step-son's 16th birthday party tomorrow. Oh yeah...and my Aunt's 50th birthday gathering, although I might have to skip that one to get the house ready for a Sweet Sixteen! Thank God he is not driving yet though! :frown: I worked a twelve hour day today with only a ten minute break for myself. Busy busy busy. But...that meant that I had to work right through boot camp. So now I must make myself head on downstairs and punish myself on the tread climber! then some weights and I won't have to feel guilty for the rest of the weekend! Why does it seem like the hardest part is always the walk to the machine?? lol Got a new mattress set last night and the hubby and I slept so well. That is if you don't count the 2am kick to the face by the three year old sleeping upside down between us! But a huge improvement from the old mattress! I will check back after I have done my exercise so I hold myself accountable! If you don't hear from me, I failed during the walk downstairs! :frown:

Good morning all! Just thought I would pop in and say hi! Have a busy day ahead today but my hubby is off so he will help out around the house! Hope everybody has a wonderful day!

Good evening all! It sounds like all had a busy day! I hope everyone is doing well! As for me, I completed one hour of bootcamp tonight and then had two tournamet volleyball games in which we won the league championships! Whoo hoo!! I am new to the sport by my husband and his family all play competitively so I learned a lot and got a lot of exercise in! Any tips on good food/drink for pre-workout? I had a moment at bootcamp. Didn't even think about the fact that I had no water today and only about 1/2 a cup of food! I need something that I can have in a rush on the way to the gym! Can't be passing out/throwing up!! So excited to be moving my body again! It has been a long time! I hope all get good rest and I look forward to reading about your days tomorrow!

Just got done watching the Biggest Loser a bit ago! I love that show! But it was nice to see them do a "real world" week where they had to work a full time job and the gym actually had busness hours! Tomorrow is my second bootcamp and I am a little bit nervous. I have been an athlete most of my life but still always fear that I will fail at exercise! Oh well, I made it through yesterday and I will make it through tomorrow. Very sore right not but I love it! And isn't it funny how putting in so much work at the gym makes you REALLY REALLY think about what you are putting in your mouth?? Well, guess I better go to bed. I hope tomorrow is a great day for all and that everybody who is facing a rough time today gets good rest and a peaceful night! My mom always says that God does not give us anything that we cannot handle. That knowledge has got me through some tough times! Hang in there all!

I am in Colorado! Gorgeous here today but that doesn't last too long this time of year! Even right now we have to stay out of the shade!! My little one is three and has a wonderful imagination! She is hilarious! And I will take a rock sandwich over a mud pie any day of the week! Hope it warms up for you soon or that you at least get a glimpse of the sun! And as for your Walmart trip...I swear that is the curse of that store! I went the other day for milk and salad and $99 later was loading up bags in the car!

It is an absolutely beautiful day here! My little one and I are outside and loving it. I have an outdoor office set up so she can play on her swings, slides and other stuff and I can still be productive and keep an eye on her. She has made me rock sandwiches and I love them. But we are also sharing some fruit and a salad just to balance it out! I hope you are enjoying your day where ever you are!

Good morning all!! Started exercise boot camp last night and oh my goodness! Intense! My arms felt like jello when I was done. Hard during the workout but I feel great about it today! One hour session of intense circuits! lol...ready to go back tomorrow! Was at a new low weight today at 277 so that is a big motivator! Hope all are well...love reading the posts! Peascorps....congrats on going to the gym. It is hard to get there! Have a great day all!

Hello all! I have not posted in a long time. I just decided to log on because I got my second fill a couple of weeks ago and have been having some issues. I remember when I first signed up I was asking what PBing was. I am now able to tell you all with great certainty that I now know exactly what it is!! lol I did not have any restriction from my surgery date through my first fill (3 cc) until my second fill (2cc) so I am now having to go back to basics and remember all of the rules that I learned in my class. When I don't remember to eat slow or chew well I pay for it!! But it has been very satisfying to actually feel the effects of the surgery. I was a wee bit frustrated before my fill. I am glad that all are doing well. I have enrolled in an exercise boot camp and we start on Monday. 1 hr a session three times a week. I am very excited and a little bit nervous! We leave for vacation to San Antonio at the end of May so I must get this butt into shape if I am going to go on a roller coaster with my son without having a panic attack about fitting on the rides!! lol I hope all is well with everyone and I am so happy to get back on here. Love to read your posts and reflect on the fact that I am definately not alone!! :smile2:

Good afternoon all! I hope everybody had a great holiday! I am a little frustrated these last couple days. I am thinking that the last of my swelling must have went away because I have no restriction! Last week my 1/4 of a cup was plenty. Today I just want to keep eating!! I know that 90% of the "hunger" is mental, but knowing doesn't help that much! I am not scheduled to go to my Dr. for my first fill until the 8th!!! Does anyone have any advice to help get me through these next two weeks without ruining all of my progress?

Thank you for the welcome! I feel like I am doing fine and am very happy with the weight loss. I know if will be a tough journey but totally worth it! Yesterday was my first day on soft foods which meant that I was able to make one of my favorite meals. Unfortunately it was not what I thought it would be. Funny enough, when eating something so familiar it was very unsatisfying to eat only 1/4 of a cup!!! My whole meal was as much as I would have eaten in two or three bites pre-op!! At least now I know what to expect! Thanks again for the reply! Have a great holiday!

Hello all! I am new to this but have read some of your posts and you seem like an extremely positive and diverse group! I hope that I can learn a lot from you all and hopefully one day lend support to somebody else! I had surgery on 12/12/09, so I am seven days post-op! So far I have lost 18.8 lbs! I keep waiting for the scale to go back up because as I am sure you can all relate to, that has been my pattern for way too many years! But I am doing well following my plan and am very encouraged at this point. I am 32 years old with a wonderful husband and three children who are the absolute light of my life! I am looking forward to this entire journey and am really excited to find others that have this challenge in common! Just to share...my biggest discovery in this past seven days has been how much every piece of life links to food! It is amazing to me now that even something as simple as going to a movie used to revolve around food!! Terrifying really! But I have a great support system and I am learning. Went to dinner at a Mexican restraunt last night (first time in a restraunt) and did just fine eating what was appropriate for me and measuring my food. Odd feeling to be sharing my food with others at the table because it was too much for me! I hope that all have a great holiday season and look forward to many conversations with you all!!

Thank you for posting this. It was the first thing I saw when I logged in. I am 3 days post-op and have been having a rough day. I am feeling weepy so it was good to know that it is not just me! Thank you for sharing and congrats on your weight loss!
