  1. Happy 38th Birthday ajaworski!

  2. Happy 37th Birthday ajaworski!

  3. Thanks for the advice, I will get me some Papaya Enzyme!!
  4. Thanks, will try the pineapple juice tomorrow if not better!!!!
  5. Thanks. That helps. I guess my confusion is because everyone describes "stuck" as pain in the chest. I dont have that so I didn't know I could be stuck in the pouch without pain in the upper area of the breast bone. Hmmm..OK, thanks!! And I don't have sliming or anything so that threw me off too especially since I've never slimed.
  6. Actually, it does control your portions and hunger. That's why with good restriction you should not be able to eat more than 1 cup of food....

    Diet coke post -op

I'm 7 months out and do just fine on soda, beer, wine, even champagne. Not much of the other stuff, but when I do, no problems. I'm not worried about stretching the pouch, only over eating will do that. To each his own.
  8. So, I have heard so much about the stuck feeling and I think this is different. First, I'm 7 months out, lost 40, 5.6 in a 10cc. Taking things slowly. I have this brick feeling in my stomach, feels distended, and can't eat anything for about 24hrs now. I can drink just fine. Ate chicken last night, skin on. Probably should not have. I have never had pain in my chest and have never PB's or whatever. So, I'm not sure what this is. I'm not sick or anything. Is there food just hanging out in my pouch because it cant get through. Thought liquids would help but not so far. No sharp pains just very uncomfortable and "full"...Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. I know exactly what you mean, I have been living off of mash potatoes, cream soups, and it can't be good for me. I feel like I'm eating too much while I'm waiting for my first fill. Starting tomorrow, I'm really going to make an effort to watch what I'm eating, I don't want to sabotage myself!!
  10. I may take that into consideration, but won't go crazy, thanks!!!
  11. Ok, so yesterday I was post op day 5, and my doctor said I could have yogur. Yum...And today, I went ahead and had cream of chicken soup, oh boy was it good, and it worked well in my tummy. Technically, I shouldn't have had it until tomorrow, but to each his own...
  12. Just curious, I have lost 9 lbs in 5 days, (5 days post op now). Does anyone think that's too much. Just a little concerned. Should I call my doctor? Thanks!!

    Did you name your band?

I am naming my band Dr. House (after the show House), and I guess my port will be Dr. Suess. They will get along good together, LOL...
  15. I was banded on the 13th. For the first few days I thought, OMG what the hell did I just do!! I 'm just starting to come around. I have lost 8 lbs in the past 4 days. Today I'm a little hungry for the first time. I am looking forward to some cottage cheese, refried beans, mash potatoes, mmmm....OK I will stop now. I have 3 more days on clear liquids, then 1 week on full liquids, then 2 weeks on pureed. I won't do well on pureed I don't think. I will only be able to pureed fruits and vegetables. Anything else, makes me sick to even think about it. Well, good luck everyone, I can't believe out time is finally here. when I reach my goal, I'm going to buy dresses.
