Sticks

I've been overweight most all of my adult life.  I topped out this summer at 345.  Im six foot tall. I couldnt sleep.  Had sleep apnea, hypertension and chronic back pain.  A friend had told me of the lapband surgery and suggested I attend a seminar.  I came out of the seminar excited that there was actually some hope, but also dissapointed that my insurance company would require me to do what I had been doing all my life...take another diet for six months before they would approve it.  I was banded on December 18, 2009 by Dr. Weiss at Hazard KY ARH.  I go for my first fill January 18th.  I'm shooting for slowing down on the weight loss when I reach 185 lbs.  A decision of this magnitude takes courage, and I admire all those who have taken this step with me.  We are a different breed, determined to get our life back.
