Hey there! To answer you question about gas pain:
Honestly I've just kept active and I didn't lay around. Even if I was "relaxing" or sleeping, I was in a recliner in a mostly upright position so the gas couldn't really deposit anywhere. Get up and walk every hour, even if it's just a few steps, get up and move.
Last night (night of day 4) was my first night in my bed, I was so comfortable, I overslept but evidently my body needed it. Short of my arm and shoulder hurting from sleeping in the same position all night (had to be careful of the incisions) my gas is pretty much gone and I feel 98%, then again I've only been up for about 30 mins lol..
I have some very light gas pain in my other shoulder but it's not really noticeable.
Also I only used the gas-x the first day and half, after that I stopped using it. Your body is a miraculous machine capable of healing itself, if you just do what it's telling you.
Hope that helps.
