NO! I have only been banded 4 months today and have lost 40 lbs. One of the best decisions I have ever made besides excepting JESUS as my personal savior and having my son. I would have never been able to get rid of 40lbs on my own. Down from size 16 pants to size 12. And down one shoe size. Had great surgeon DR Oliak in Brea, CA and a very good staff and support group. REGRETS. NO I DO NOT THINK SO. -
My doc have performed over 10,000 lap band surgeries and have not lost a patient. But if you are afraid. I suggest that you do not have it.

Yes Jessica the lap band really works. I was banded on Dec 30th 2009 and went from a size 16 - size 12 pants and have lost one shoe size. I can only eat 1/4 of what I was able to eat b4 the band. The Lap Band is not a miracle worker but a tool. It is good to change your eating habits. And make wise food choices. I wish you the best on your weight lost journey

KC how are you dong you have not been in the chat room lately. I have losted 25lbs since being banded on Dec 30th went from a size 14 to size 16. Love you and take care Beverly

Hey there, I banded 12/30 also and I am feeling really well too. One thing I've realized when I get the shoulder gas pain as soon as I stand up it's gone. Strange... so if you get any see if that works for you. I think I'll be back to work Monday. I only had to do liquids for two days. I ate today. Not much. Just some cottage cheese and chicken salad. I dont think I have any restriction at all but am going to eat very little until my first fill. Hang in there fellow bander.

HAPPY NEW YEAR u guys it is the third day after surgery and I slep pretty good last night. It is getting better every day the liquids are not too bad so I have until Jan 11th to be on liquids. I can do it. I can do it. SLIM N 2010. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE WELL WISHES

Hey, I'm so glad to hear you're doing well. I hope you don't have much pain. Yeah, sleeping on my back after surgery was a pain in the butt, but it'll get better. After the 4th day of surgery i was sleeping on my side and wake up on my tummy!! So im sleeping better!
