  1. Hi, I am 10 weeks post op and my belly started looking normal at about 3 weeks postop, until they had to go back in because my port flipped. No biggie, just took it easy for 2 weeks walking and swimming only. A little soar but nothing major..Have a great weekend.

  2. Great picture Ivette, you look wonderful. God Bless. M-

  3. Wow, you look great..God Bless..M-

  4. Hi tina, how many cc; do you have in your band? I have 4cc total and I can only eat tuna, chicken salad, cottage cheese, tilapia, some days I can eat crackers. Everything has to be mushy or it is not going down. You llok so good in your picture. I know it is hard work, and I feel everyday it is a different challenge..Have a good weekend, M-

    Shoulder pain

yes, it is bad..but the best thing is to walk around and eat smaller bites and slow down...

    Protruding port?

I am about 10 weeks post op and recently they had to go back and open my port area because it had flipped. so I am soar again, but as the weeks go by sometimes I can feel easily sometimes it is hard to locate. It just takes time to heal.
  7. KDee, you look so great. God Bless..M-

  11. Tina, yes I am having a hard time with solids also. It seems early in the morning even mushies are hard and as the day goes by it gets better, but not easy. I tried chicken breast the size of a pencil eraser and thought I was going to die...So right now tuna and salmon are my friends. As far as the running. I started on a how to learn how to run program. It starts you out on 2 min walk, 90 sec run and increases as you go...but let me tell you when you see senior citizens running right past you with not a drop of sweat, OMG But I tell you, as weight has dropped and my excercise increased I feel great. I had to slow down for 2 weeks due to the port surgery but cannot wait to get right back at it..

  12. Hi Tina, hope you are doing well. I had a small setback my port flipped and the dr. had to open to be able to fill my port. Now I know what true restriction feels like..OMG...down another 5 pounds since saturday. Ran my second 5K early that morning and then had my dr. appt. Total down 46.8 pounds..Other than the setback, I feel great. Cannot wait to get the go ahead to start my exercise. God Bless, M-

  13. Keep up the good work. You look great. God Bless you M-

    Help with slowing down.

If you haven't had a fill, wait because everything changed for me once I got my first fill..I have 4cc in my band, and oh my...if I don't eat slow enough I choke and the pressure in my shoulder and chest is almost unbareable. So I eat very slowly with small utensils. Also, I have to keep everything moist and it helps things go down better, like tuna with mayo is my best friend right now.
  15. 4/27/2010 did my second 5k 59:13. Went to my second fill appt and the dr. tried for about 3 hours gave me a break and If he could not access it on the second try he was going to open up at the same place my surgery had. My port had flipped and was facing inverted towards my belly button. I only had 1cc in of the 4cc he thought he had put in the first fill. So he said I had lost the weight I lost due to excercise and food control, not due to the band itself. Figure that..hehe Needless to say it was horrible, I have a new scar, have to wait for that to heal to continue my workout routines. But boy I feel restriction. I cannot swallow any pills, having a hard time with anything solid. My sweat mom has made me home made mashed patotoes which that and protein shakes all I can handle right now. Now healing again and then back to the workouts. I continue to walk at lunch time for about an hour. Cannot wait to get back to the exercise and 5K's...Until next post..M-
