Melanie, It is amazing how the face changes so quickly. I started at 279, my surgery was feb 23, 2010. i am 6 months out and am at 215.8. It is slower now. Take all your measurements for when the scale doesn't budge you can still see change in measurements. Also, pictures, pictures and pictures. I helps to go back and see where you started and where you are to give a quick boost. Good luck and God bless, M- -

Oh my God, I went up and down the same pound for 3 weeks...Finally some movement...but when I look back to where I came from I feel a little silly...I guess you become spoiled over how much and how fast we lose weight at the beginning...I am just anxious to be under 200...Have a great weekend. I have had two fills one in March and one in April, but the one in April they had to open me up because my port had flipped and that was horrible. My mom says that since I had that experience y has scared me to not get any more fills. But I am going to gain strength from God and get another fill in late sept/oct. My doctor had me add some more protein to my diet and wait a few more weeks. So we will see...take care, m-

You can get them at any pharmacy. when they put the band in the fill your tummy with air to make space for them to insert everything into place. So when the surgery is over your stomach looks like a huge santa clause belly. hehe, so as soon as I started feeling pressure I started putting them in my mouth. It is a strip that dissovles and relieves the pain from gas. M-

Good luck, and get as many pictures as you can before and after. Take your measurements also. Dont forget your GASX strips, that was my life savor. Every time i have a bad day i go back and look at my pictures and realize it is so worth it. God Bless, M- -
