Hi Girls, I found out when i went for my first fill, that the only reason I felt I could not eat during the first few weeks was because of the swelling, not the band. When I went for my first fill my dr had put 1cc during surgery, some drs don't fill at all during surgery. So the weight loss at the begining was mainly due to starting my exercise regimen and mentally thinking I had my band. But oh boy once you get your fills then you good to go and eventhough your brain tells you you want that hamburger, you fisically can't eat it...I love my band!!!! God Bless, M-

11.2.10 mir got my third fill on friday. I had 5cc in a 10 cc band. She gave me 1.75cc and I was fine in the dr. office but started having trouble with my own saliva going home,(that should have been the sign to turn around), I tried to have hot tea when I got home. 2 sips and up it came. I was getting thru a cold so I thought since I was still congested, was not helping. And I know that the first 24 hours you usually swell around the port, i gave it 24 hours, sat was completely miserable. I felt like when you try to eat dry meat, just with small sips of water. I tried Hot water. Sunday hot water, jello a small spoonful and nothing. went back on monday, was dehydrated lost 12 lbs from fri to mon(dehydration) not fat. They took out half of what they put in and felt immediate relief! i mean immediate. They put in an IV and I drank 2 gatorades. Last night had soup and yogurt. Fell much better today. God Bless M-

10.28.10 tomorrow I will be driving down to St. Pete to the Millenium Medical for my 3rd fill. I have 4 cc in a 10 cc band. My appt is with Kathie Gonzales. I am so excited since my 1st fill the doctor thought he had filled and did not. My second fill he pulled out 1 cc which is what the surgeon had put in. He put in 4 cc. It will be interesting to see what they pull out tomorrow. I had to change drs since mine moved to Miami. I have to be honest. Since my surgery was done in Venezuela it has been hard to find a dr. besides the one that I had which was referred by my surgeon. When he moved it has taken me about 2 months to find someone that would take me. I had seen posts about this center in St. Pete and called directly. they asked me to go thru Fill Centers of america. It was quick and I got an appt. for this week. I will post as soon as I get back. Wish me luck. 1st fill in March, 1nd fill in April, and 3rd fill October.

Thanks Rebecca, I think you get spoiled with how much weight is lost in the beginning it is hard to slow down or come to a halt until you start dropping again. I get another fill on Friday, God willing, hope to be under 200 before year end...God Bless, M-
