DOES ANYONE IN THE DFW AREA OF DENTON, TEXAS KNOW OF A BARIATRIC DR. WHO WILL DO FILLS ON PATIENTS THAT HE DID NOT DO SURGERY FOR. I HAD MY SURGERY IN MEXICO AND I HAVE A LIST OF DR.S THAT WILL DO FILLS THAT AREN'T ALL THAT CLOSE TO ME. THREE OF THE MOST PROMINENT SURGEONS IN MY AREA WILL NOT DO MY FILLS BECAUSE I HAD MY BAND PLACED IN MEXICO. I HAVE MY BAND BOX (ALLEGAN) WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER, I HAVE THE IMAGES OF MY FLUROSCOPY AND MY DR. NOTES. IF ANYONE COULD ASSIST ME, I WOULD BE GRATEFUL. HAD SURGERY NEW YEAR'S EVE, SO I AM GOING TO BE DUE FOR MY FIRST FILL SOON. THANKS SO MUCH!

Hi again, Yes I did go through Belite and to this date have not heard a word from my facilatator (slightly annoyed). For pain they gave me supradol, which evidently is a strong anti-inflamatory. At least that is what I was sent home with, not real clear on what was in the IV but it worked. The pain wasn't really painful as much as it was just very sore, particularly the port site, which I am still guarding. The heating pad came in real handy. Today was my first day on soft foods...15 pounds down. I'm sure that will start to slow down with food being introduced instead of just liquids. Your date is getting closer...I know how excited you are feeling and I wish you all the luck in the world. !Buena suerte!

This is for caymanbandit..... Hi! I noticed that you are scheduled for lapband in juarez soon. I had my band done there as well on 12-31-09, so i'm just nine days out. Dr. Rodriguez was the surgeon but he was also accompanied by another dr. With too many names to remember.....i just called him dr. Elmo. It was so much better than i had anticipated. The hospital at star medica was very nice and clean and modern. They sent a driver that picked us up at the airport who was great and took us right to the hospital where i immediately did my pre-testing and then very shortly after that i went to surgery. The anesthesiologist was dr. Leticia something.....she was very sweet and concerned that i knew she would take care of me. Afterwards you are left with the nurses on the floor and not too many speak much english, but i got by. Dr. Elmo was the one who checked on me all the time and did my fluroscopy and showed me where my band was and let me see how the barium swallow went through my pouch and how long it took and all. I was sent home with my x-rays and my band box with the serial number and my doctor notes concerning my surgery. I left on the 2nd of january, with the same driver taking me to the airport. It was a good experience. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't a bit nervous about going to juarez, but i think it's the smartest thing i've ever done. I hope you are as pleased with your experience there as i was.
