Hello, Was banded on 4/15/10. Went back to work four days later. No issues. Just had my first fill today (five weeks after surgery). So far so good. Started getting hungry about a week and a half ago. Lets hope the fill helps. Walking 1/2 hour a day need to step it up to and hour a day. So far Im down 40 lbs. -
Wow other than you being 28 and me being 41 we have very similar stories even down to my two boys Cameron (11) and Connor (8). I also work in a school (middle 5th-6th) But as a paraprofessional. I was banded 4/15/10 (two weeks yesterday) And only took two days off. So far Im very happy w/ my decision! I wish I could have done this at 28. Im so excited to do things w/ my boys..... They are a huge reason for me doing this! Congratulations on your choice to do it and I look forward to hearing about all your progress. If you ever want to talk Id love to hear from you. Hello, I was banded on Thursday 4/15/10 a week tomorrow. I went back to work the following Monday. All is great so far, lost 8lbs the first week. I did find out I cant do the protein drinks.... gave me diarrhea.. But I see the nutritionist today and shes going to be putting me on my three weeks of purees. So Ill get the protein that way. I get my first fill in three weeks. So far so good. -

Good luck!!! Keep us updated! -
Well Im new to this but from what Ive heard the calories you take in should be filled w/ protein and vitamin's... It doesn't sounds like your eating alot of veggies or meat? Maybe to much dairy and grain? What does your nutritionist say? I have young boys and actually work at my sons school so I know first hand how kids can be.. Just hang in there!!! You just need to tweak something and Im sure you'll be on the right road. Like I always say "I didn't get this big overnight so Its going to take a while to get to where I want to be."

I had it done on Thursday and went back to work on Monday. But I think it depends on what you do for work.
