    where is your port?

    Mine is on my right side about 2 fingers under my rib cage but it's pretty deep. Ask your surgeon and they'll let you know where they're going to put it.

    My port is really deep so that it doesn't show through. I'm sure you can talk to your surgeon about this!
  8. First off congrats!! Just make sure you fill your pain RX before hand, have your vitamins and calcium all ready also make sure your protein shakes are at home and ready. I would pick up some gas x strips they worked well for me. Good luck!!!

    The pre op liquid diet sucks, but in the end it's worth it! Good luck and know you're almost there.

    I have UHC in NY and honestly if you call they have no idea what they are talking about. I asked them over and over again if I needed any sort of weigh ins or stuff like that and they kept telling me no until all my stuff was sent in, then all of a sudden I needed 6 months of weigh ins. Just try and get as much info as you can, they're pretty quick to approve which is a good thing.

  17. This is my favorite one. I was SO PICKY about my protein and didn't like any that I tried until this one. I get mine at walmart and it's cheap and it's free shipping! Chocolate Peanut Butter is my fav.

    Why dont I feel different?

    I'm almost 7 weeks post op and honestly I can probably still eat a good amount of food but I also have no restriction so you are not a failure. You're going to do great! Good luck with everything!!

    It's simple, no driving though. I actually went right to breakfast once I was done. It only takes about half an hour and before you know it you're on the way home. Good luck!

    Consultation with surgeon tomorrow!!!!!!!

    Every office is different. Make sure you write down questions, if you have any. The surgeon will probably go over everything with you, see what kind of surgery you want, talk to you about the pros and the cons, and see if you have any questions. Good luck!!

    It gets easier. When you get on your mushy stage you'll start to feel better and then before you know it you'll be introducing solids again! Good luck!
