i decided to have wls after 5 years of researching it. i met a friend of mine that had the sugery and it was a success! then he sd to me one day  "if you got this surgery it will change your life". that is when i knew that i was becoming too overweight! i always hid my misery behind fake smiles and shopping . the only thing is, i found myself going directly to the back of the store to the plus size dept  and my fashion started to fade.  well i got married and as the weight came on i found myself not wanting to be around anybody and when i got the insurance the first thing i did was call to see if they covered the wls. and yes they did. they sd all i needed was a letter of necessity. i was on a mission after that. i started researching dr's creditentials.. Dr. van wagner had no fatalities and i chose him!!! they sd i had to go to a seminar and i went on 5-16-09 at 10 am. they told me about the "program fee" and i changed my mind(395.00) because if the insurance denied me  then that meant i threw away $.. well around october i bought  digital scale and within a few weeks i was gaining so much weight i decided to take a chance and pay the $395 program fee. i went to the consult and was so nervous and excited! from there i went to the psych evaluation and had my regular dr fax my weight history for the past 5 years. after that was done i went to get my pre op testing done and got my surgery date.insurance approved  me the 1st time with no co morbities.i was so shocked!!!  dr wagner ordered me to go on a 7 day clear liquid diet .surgery day is  dec 10th.......everything within one month
