Get away with you you love all these compliments from us women! lol I felt nothing from th first fill but was truly relieved that I had not gained any weight but this fill I feel I have to be carefull and have not tried bread or difficult stuff, did have cottage pie today but do get full quickeralthough can still eat a fair amount if I am carefull, would be good if I get to the sweet spot next time. Keep up the good work. Barbara x -

Hi guys and gals thought it was about time I checked in. Had my second fill yesterday and it has certainly made a difference. I was feeling a bit fed up having not lost a nano ounce in the last month but I saw Chris for the first time and he was very good and supportive. Also saw the gang mmm and others in the waiting room and as usual they gave me hope seeing how well they have all done. Chris put 2mls in so I am up to 5mls now and just on the soup at the moment and can only eat little of that so thats good news. Were your ears burning Gary!! mmm said how fit you were and on the day after the op you were jogging arownd the town, unlike me gently walking in the hotel.haha Glad to hear you are doing so well and the weight is falling off again for you. Your amazing. Hopefully I am back on track now and won't be feeling hungry so much. Good luck all you due to be banded and the new bandsters keep up the good work everyone. -

I'm suprised you got them passed your teeth anytime I have tried one they just stick like glue to my teeth!!! How many fills did you get before you started to feel any effect. I know I know I impatient but I did so well after the operation I didn't feel hungry at all for the first 3 weeks. After my 1st 3ml fill Friday I feel nothing no effects at all and as I sit here typing this my tummy is grumbling wanting food. Some of the other guys are doing so well in the early days of banding and yet I have come to a full stop. Could do with some tips garry on what to do or eat that will satisfy the cravings (clean ones please lol) B x -

Hi Good to meet you, I didn't get chance to say bye bye. sorry about that but it was getting a bit crowded in there. Fred said my band was 15ml and that he put 3ml in it although i don't feel any difference and no restriction. I had a sandwich today for lunch and am having fish pie for tea. I thought I would have no apitite but I do. I have felt like a "stich" type cramp feeling a couple of inches below my port I hope it isn't a problem. Well done on your weight loss already I didn't know you had lost 10stone how amazing are you and you looked great. I will be booking in for my next fill next month hope that makes a difference. B -

I'm comming up from Plymouth about 2 1/2 hours drive. It's been 6 weeks since my op I see yours was only 3 weeks ago I thought we had to wait 4 to 6 weeks I wish I had ben able to have a fill after 4 weeks but as he only goes once a month to Newport I had to wait. Are you still loosing a lot? I remember you saying you lost loads very quickly. -

Hi Sussie, You will just be a bit sore after the op across your tummy so lifting is a problem ie. luggage. I didn't feel like sightseeing had my op on the Friday and came home on the Sunday but everyone is different you may feel perkey enough to do some.We stayed at the Campanile and it was small but clean and friendly and very near to the hospital. You will be about 20 to 30 mins by train from Brussels. Don't plan on doing any shopping as it is very expensive. Hope this is helpfull Baarbs -

Hi Miablue, You don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to it's personal. I made the mistake of telling too many people one friend within a day had told her whole family and another friend of mine who promptly phoned me to ask why I was having it done it will make me look old and haggard, nice friends eh, Oh and she phones me every week to ask how much Iv'e lost and that she has lost the same as me but doing it naturally!!!.You would think I was a drug addict or somthing. You will find very few people who will support you wholehartedly. Wait untill you have lost your weight Think of the negative comments Fern Britton got. Only tell the people you really trust who love you whatever. That's only my advice though. x -

Hi JulieP Dr Chris does not do Bristol but does Newport once a month next date 26th Feb for any information telephone Julie Macintosh 07872963503 between 8.30 and 5.30 I think it is £90 for a fill £80 in London or maybe the other way around. She will also give you advice on the Xray. The band should still be OK he said they last for at least 15 years. Good luck -

OK Mr Nag No really cheers for the support, thanks to your posts I decided to keep with Dr Chris's team for post care, I don't want to take any chances and they looked after me well in Belgium. What am I likely to get put in on the first fill? there seems to be different fills with different providers. Did you find out the info on the Xray check up you wanted? I'm sure I read somewhere that you could get an Xray at home and take it with you I was assuming at that time that Dr Cris could do the yearly check up in the UK and you could take your Xray with you. -

Hi Carriejess, Very informative and helpfull thank you:wink2: Am three and a bit (15th Jan) weeks post op now and have lost nearly 1 stone really quickly almost one pound a day but have lost nothing in the last four days as I can eat what I want so have been naughty:mad: still at least I haven't put on any. I would like to be in control of food and not have food be the center of my life. I would also like to loose more weight before I get my fill on 26th but I know it's going to be hard going from now till then as having no restriction means self control which I have very little of when it comes to food. Going to Wales for a fill, they are only there once a month so I can't go before. Ah well what will be will be. You are a great inspiration to us all.
