My sister and I have been looking into Lapband surgery for sometime now. In recent weeks, we have been blessed, by an angel, to make the surgery financially possible. Both of us have struggled with our weight since childhood, and we're both very tired of it. We can both take the weight off, but keeping it off has been the struggle. On Tues. Dec 1st, I was diagnosed as a diabetic. So, the timing of the money couldn't have come at a better time. I am currently 240 pounds and hope to take off between 80 and 100 pounds. When I get to my goal weight, I will not have seen it since the 1980's. We have been looking into doctors for the past few months, and have not quite settled on anyone yet. I think Dr. Kuri is our number 1 choice so far. We would be interested in hearing about Dr. Kuri, or any other doctors out there. When I tell people I am going to Tijuana, they look at me strangely. But all of our research has pointed to a wonderful hospital, with great facilities to accommodate our Canadian and American standards. Anybody see any different? We are hoping to spend no more than $5500. Is that realistic? What have most people paid for their surgery? Thanks for the info.I am really excited to begin this journey; especially with my sister. Wish us luck :)
