  1. You're making me so sad. You have to remember that without the proper restriction, you are not expected to lose. Every body reaches the "green zone" at different times. And please remember to not be in a hurry. I have to tell myself that every day! The slower that you lose, the better chance you have to not have saggy skin! You will be happier in the end, right? The LAP band is a slow process, not like the other surgeries. You were so smart to choose it and you will see when in a year from now you'll laugh. You will see that just because your loss was delayed a bit it all evens out in the end!!

    Alcohol

I had about three big sips of red wine the other night. Then the food came and I forgot all about the wine!
  3. oh sorry, to answer the question, I don't have any restriction yet and I have only had more than 4 ounces 2 times. (they were both worth it haha) and in those cases I ate about 6
  4. I'm confused because it seems like you ate a reasonable amount for the band before, with this new menu you're going to get in like 500 cal for the whole day! Is that how it is supposed to be?
  5. I will eat in a typical day every few hours or when I am hungry: a Protein bar (280 cal, 20 protein) a can of tuna with low fat miracle whip, mustard, hot sauce, and relish with 4 saltine crackers half- 3/4 a boneless, skinless chicken breast dipped in ranch salad dressing or something wet 4-5 chicken substitute nuggets dipped in something a stupid Protein shake if I can bring myself to it LOTS of herbal tea, crystal light, and Water Vitamins!

    Are these side effects??

the dry mouth is probably slight dehydration. the bad breath is probably because you are in ketosis. :cursing:

    ideas anyone???

a lot of people swear by this 5 day pouch test. It's really just that you start over like when you first got your band. 2 days liquid, 2 mushie, and then solid. I dunno, you can google it. Oolong tea is great for weight too!!
  13. i wish this thread would go away, the title offends me.
  14. I like a cliff Protein bar. its like 280 cal but 20g protein and it helps me get all of my calories in for the day. (some poeple might say that it is too high cal to eat) Or I cook 2 eggs and eat more like 1.5 or canned tuna mixed with miracle whip, mustard, hot sause and relish. that is like almost 250 calories. hmmm I kind of don't like breakfast so sometimes I will just have dinner left overs.

  16. my diet was the strictest I have seen on this site. 3 days before surgery I got the final approval and then something came over me and I had a hamburger. I cried and cried I felt so guilty, but everything with the surgery went fine.

    Superbowl Sunday Food

it seems like a lot of people feel guilty about every little thing that they put in their mouth. I got the band to avoid all of that. Plus, most people were recommended the band because they don't usually make poor food choices, but rather have portion control problems. Everything is fine in moderation, I think. Since I've been banded I have had iced cream, french fries, whatever I felt like, but just a little cause that is all I could fit in. And I don't feel bad!!
  20. My husband told every one we know. I don't think that he thought that I might not want to tell everyone. Mainly, because I don't want to be monitored but also because most people don't know exactly what it is and we have to get into huge conversations of explaining it.
  21. I have my high school prom dress hanging up on my wall as motivation for me.

  23. I am almost 6 weeks post op and am finally just now feeling normal enough to sleep on my belly. It isn't such a fast recovery for everyone. I had a lot of pain.
  24. I'm pretty sure that we established that we meant excess exercise, apart from daily activity.
