  3. I just don't understand why some people who say they are doing everything to the T are not successful. I am not bragging by any means, but I have already lost 33% of my excess weight in 3.5 months. I don't even excercise. I have a very sedentary lifestyle. Your body will eat your fat for fuel if you don't put enough food in it, right? Esspecially if you consume lots of Protein. Do you think some people are wearing their bands looser or something? I am only allowed 2 oz every meal, but I see some people saying they eat a cup or MORE! I want everyone to be successful and I think some doctors are not being strict enough with people maybe? Let's talk about this :blushing:

    to be honest, I don't exercise at ALL. I'm not really even active. Some can still lose weight with just a caloric restriction. It makes mathematic sense, right?:thumbup:

  12. that is such a good point! I always make sure to drink during like the first 5-10 minutes that the others are eating. it helps me slow down and not be to hasty. also, by then, they are eating at a slower pace and you feel like one of them. Also, i know i can't drink for an hour so i want to make sure i get in all the water I want!

    2 hours to eat? youre going to fit in a lot more food if you take 2 hours. give yourself 30 minutes, anything you can't eat by then is off limits. are you measuring 2 oz every meal? do you drink your Protein shakes? maybe they are too high calorie and you should switch to another brand.

    Green Tea

    green tea has EGCG which can help in weight loss, but Oolong is more for weight loss and is also known to block carbs. Mate is good for curbing appetite, but has the same caffeine as coffee. If you are worried about caffeine drink white tea, it has 1-2% of the caffeine of a cup of coffee and is great for skin and hydration, green has 5-10%, oolong more, black more, mate most. Or herbal or rooibos! they have no caffeine :w00t: I work at a tea parlor.

    Tips for drinking water

    I have a rubbermade sippy built in straw deal that holds 32 oz.. so, I try to have 2 or more of those. like 5 dollars at target. The trick, I think, is to always have it available. Always have something iced and ready at an arms reach so when you think of it, you can take a sip. sometimes I have to dump out half and re-ice it, but it is ALWAYS worth it to have it available.:w00t:

    you might find that you can reduce your doses or even stop taking them with doctor supervision. I stopped one of my pills and I feel better than ever:biggrin:

    blood i think. I didn't mention that I smoked because I knew it would cause an extra hassle and then I just quit cold turkey a month before surgery.

    quit asap so that you can heal better. you'll be glad you did! I stopped for surgery and haven't started up again. It saves so much money!:rolleyes2: oh and some doctors will test you before if you are a known smoker. That means they could cancel you on the day!@!!

    Superbowl Sunday Food

    I feel like no matter how much we lie to ourselves, we are fat because we have a weird relationship with food. Either we hate if because our medications don't allow us to lose weight or we love it so much we don't know when to stop. It is kind of sad that our bodies show our shortcomings so prevalently.
