  1. Happy 66th Birthday Jerit!

  2. Happy 65th Birthday Jerit!

  3. Thanks for all the excellent answers. I thought maybe I was in some sort of trouble because I can feel not only the port but the band itself, and it makes my upper abdomen really protrude. I thought the saline might have gone into the wrong area or something. My port is extra high, on the left side, and is in the way of my bra sometimes, rather uncomfortable. I wish the docs would've warned me that my body would look a bit lopsided, but oh, well. I'm down 28 pounds and feel like a million bucks, so guess you can't have everything.:cursing:

When is the right time for a fill?

I'm grappling with the same problem. I have had three fills, but still find I can eat whenever and whatever I wish. I take that to mean I have not yet reached my "sweet spot." I assume my doctor is going slowly so that nothing goes wrong. But weight loss is not going terribly fast. I guess the tostada test would be as good as any!
  5. Check out the other pre-op diets online. Many allow meat and other protein besides the Carnation. Some allow peanut butter. Don't despair; you're almost there. I had mine last week and feel almost human today. Good luck.
