  1. Ah, I understand, just giving you a hard time. You make some good points, but I'm always up for a challenge. Congratulations on your success. I hope I'm just as successful! That's really cool you're in the art supply biz. I mostly use acrylic; it just dries faster!! I once painted a beautiful poppy field with oil and 3 months later it was still wet. My cats ended up leaving their paw prints in it, guess they wanted to help! Add me to your list, and maybe we can talk art supplies!
  2. TJ: Interesting saying, "healthy people cost less" In what way? Just because they may get sick from time to time? Oh but what about all the "skinny/healthy" people who get knocked up and have to leave work, or suddenly develop a cocaine addiction, or the skinny tards on welfare? I dont think SIZE matters at all in most cases. Your point is moot. And, if you were so perfect you wouldn't have needed the band. Give the girl a break. This situation is called Bandster hell for a reason. P.S. While you're at it, being king on the mountain top, learn some people skills on top of all your other lovely talents.. Thanks!
  3. Hello, thank you so much for the lovely compliment. My start weight was 264. I was blessed with a pear shaped body. Small on top, big in the middle and bottom!! There's been a lot of controversy over my pictures, so I don't know what else to say!

    25% removed?

I'm so sorry you've had all these problems. I wonder how the port tore away from your stomach? That is so scary! I really hope everything works out for you and the pain goes away. That must be so frustrating; I can only imagine.

    are your eating habits improving

Awesome question! I can tell that my eating habits have changed for the better because I crave only healthy/nutritious foods. It has become a habit of mine to ask myself before I eat, is this good for me? because I can only have so much food for the day, so it better count!

    25% removed?

Hello, sorry to see you're having troubles with yours and need to have it removed. Thanks for sharing with us; I think it sheds light on the reality. If you don't mind sharing, why must you have it removed? Best of luck to you!

You have a really good point. I think as long as you follow your doctor's instructions, stay connected with your support network, and make healthy choices you'll be fine. We all will be. I know about 8 people who have the band and some have had it for almost 10 years!! None of them have had it removed. They follow the rules and keep their appointments with their doctors. Stay positive!! Hope this helps
  10. Hmmm, my doctor says, when you're hungry eat. Take your time, eat slowly, chew your food well, and make healthy choices. My fill isn't until the 18th of January so i have a while to go. There's no way I could eat a CUP and I don't think anyone else could too. All I'm saying is there's no need to starve for heavens sake. And, it doesn't matter how long you've been at this; from what I can everyone's surgeons have different rules. Im going by what mine says and the same goes for you and everyone else.
  11. Nothing is going to happen to the band. It hasn't been filled yet. That's why we are all suffering right now; there is no restriction. If the body is hungry, it needs food. I doubt eating until reasonably satisfied is going to hurt anything.
  12. Im in Bandster Hell right now too. I am managing to lose slowly though and it's because I'm eating protein like crazy. It keeps me fuller, longer. Though, I'm still eating more than I should! I go walking every day, 30 minutes. I think that's helping me lose/maintain during this awful time.
  13. Hello, I use GNC Pro Performance 95. Its Soy and has no sugar or carbs. It mixes pretty well!
  14. Hey, sorry to see you're having such a terrible time. I know what it's like to move away and get off track of your goals. I know this is cliche but I always tell myself that I won't let something control my emotions. Example, something like moving, or whatever is bothering me. As far as exercising; maybe you can go exploring. Go to a mall and walk up and down, or find a cool park and go jogging with other people. You can make the best of your new city by exploring and staying active. Thats what I'm doing right now. I hope this helps! Good luck, and congratulations on your losing 70lbs!!!!
  15. Aww, I hope everything works out. I know it's tough, but it'll get better! Good luck, and I wish you much continued success.

Down 30 lbs, can see it in my face so far.

Lovely photo. Very vintage. You look a lot of like Dita Von Teese!!!
  17. Wow!! That is so awesome; congratulations! You're doing great. I've lost about 21 pounds so far. Today I had a burst of energy too and worked out and then I went and walked at the mall for an hour. Now I'm beat! Im trying to get as much exercise/movement in as I can. My surgeon cleared me for exercise already, but told me not to sleep on my port side for another week. lol I was like hmmm, odd.

  18. Hey, my doc has me on 5 days liquids, 5 days full liquids, 5 days soft, and 5-and on regular food as tolerated. I've had an appetite since day 2!! It gets easier though and you'll be losing like crazy!

  19. Hey, I was banded on the 18th of December as well. I'm finally able to move past the gas and start to exercise! Hope we can keep in touch through our progress.

    Omg ?

I know what you are going through. I was morning the loss of my old life before surgery. However, I was just banded 4 days ago and I'll tell you; I have NO desire to eat anything I used to like. I have this fear I'll bust my stitches or something if I eat too much, or not as directed by my doctor. That is a real motivator for me! Hope this helps.
