in 2003-2004, I did my version of the South Beach Diet, and I started to work out. I lost a total of 60 pounds. I loved going to the gym. I then met my husband in 2005, and he became my focus. I would still work out, but not as much. Then in 2006 he moved in with me. I then quit going to the gym because I wanted to spend all my time with him. I slowly started to gain back my weight. When we got married I was 248 pounds. In 2007, I got pregnant with our son. When our son was born, I hit the scale at 320 pounds. I was miserable. I ended up losing most of the wegith, went down to 278. I am now back to 304 pounds. I just got tired of the yo yo diets and always gaining back the weight. I had a few friends who got the Lap Band surery done. They were thrilled with the results. I started to research the band myself. I talked to my husband and told him, that I was tired of being overweight, and I wanted to be healthier, and be able to go to a park with my son and play, fit in rides, feel comfortable going to a water park and go clothes shopping without thinking, is that going to fit?.I went to a Lap Band seminar with my husband and realized, yes the lap band is for myself as well as my family. Off to doctor appointments and gettind ready for my surgery, Dec 3, 2009. (More to follow after surgery)02/04/10: 61 days into my banded life and three fills later, I am down 25 pounds and I have 5.4 CC in my band. Life is so wonderful for me. I think about eating all the time. i have realized I ate because I was bored or stressed out. Mainly boared. I have a desk job, so the office spread is easy to get. I am planning on signing up for a boot camp fitness class at my gym in March! I am excited and cannot wait. My clothes are fitting differently, everyone is commenting on my weight loss. It is a wonderful feeling. My goal is to take off 4 pounds a week. I am thinking I might get another fill to make my band a little tigher now that I know how the adjustments feel and am not so nervous when I get them. I am going to be a SEXY HOT MOMMA!! I am excited for my new life with NO LIMITATIONS!!! 06/15/10: I am down 60 pounds I was doing a crossfit training class two to three times per week and was feeling awesome.. I recently found out I am pregnant. I have very mixed emotions about the pregnancy. I was not ready for a second child, I want to keep going on my weight loss.. it will be on hold until Feb 2011. I am still LOVING my band.
