As with most women, the week before my period my appetite increases and the cravings hit. I'm two days shy of being two months post op, 2 fills down, feeling restriction and all is going well BUTTTTTTTTTTT.... Man if mother nature isn't tryin' to go 12 rounds with my band. At my current level of restriction I'm almost never hungry. But when I do eat it's hard to stop... I've gotten so full it's almost painful because mother nature/cravings can't seem to get enough of the taste. Not the amount of food, but the taste of it.. and carbs...OMGosh CARBS.. pasta...pasta..pasta and cheese. I need to get back on track or I'm going to gain and that's SO not on the plan. On the recent episode of Supernatural there was a guy who ate so much he burst his band... I just thought OMGOSH what if that was me.. cause when you DO eat too much it hurts.. I couldn't even imagine. I know it's overly dramatic but as I sat there watching, realizing I had eaten nothing but homemade mac & cheese for the day I let my mind drift and get wrapped up in that.. Ugh mother nature why must you treat me this way.. lol I must be strong... every time I want to eat I should go work out... but then the cramps and ugh... :frown:

Call your insurance and advise them of the situation and have them refer you to a surgeon in your area. This type of thing happens quite often. Or call another WLS surgeon and see if they accept your insurance and how soon they can schedule you, all of the legwork as already been done, you're approved.. it's not that you're approved only for that dr or office, you're approved anywhere. Either way you go, it'll happen much quicker if you handle it yourself. Life lesson #10 - NEVER wait on somebody else. Besides if a Surgeon has lost their privileges at a hospital chances are, you're better off NOT having them operate on you, just sayin'... lol

Of course I'll still be around to cheer you on and encourage. If my plan goes like the way I'm in faith for, I'll be getting deflated for pregnancy right around the time you're getting filled again. So you can be my coach and go to person then lol. If you decide to leave LBT or become inactive due to baby let me know so I can PM you my contact info.

So I had my 2nd fill and welp yeah it worked, I'm not hungry AT ALL like never.. I make myself eat only because I know I'm supposed to, but I have that satiated feeling constantly which is great until I actually eat and I/my body/brain has a hard time saying when to stop because I've felt "full" for days now... In other news, I joined the gym.. yeah we'll see how this goes... For $50 bucks a month I BETTER go.. lol

I used to be a gym freak spending 3-5 hours a day back in 2004 through 2006 into 07.. then I got involved with this super jealous idiot and I would put it off, put it off, put it off.. next thing I know two years have gone by and I've packed on 60lbs. So I know I'll do well when I go, it's just getting there. I went on the tour, and here I am day ummm 5 of my free week and let's see how many times have I been??? umm yeah 1 (the first night).. I have to go back before sunday so I can sign up officially. I neglected to say that despite my eating fastfood for a week I still lost 5lbs when I weighed in, I was SURE I had gained... but my weight was down and so were my inches.. SURPRISINGLY! lol I have a workout buddy which HELPS.. but she's not into it either lol.. I need a motivated one lol. We're so funny we're like "we should go to the gym"...then some how never make it there, but sure do have time for dinner or whatever else lol. I'll get there.. I've also been moving so I think that's workout enough... 1 more day and I'll be on track and the house will be completely put together, my valentine's gift to myself lol. And just incase my valentine happens to come over.. that helps too lol. We'll see how it goes.. just gotta find my groove.

Congratulations! What a blessing! My dr covered this with me saying you can keep your band inflated til the last trimester without any problem, and it's possible to go through your whole pregnancy with your fill in because just as your dr said, the baby lives off of nutrition not calories. The baby will take everything it needs from you, so it's a matter of making sure YOU get everything YOU need as well. YAY for some reason I'm SO excited for you, I mean babies are always exciting but I don't know I think you getting pregnant just gave me some hope on the situation lol...YAY BABIES!!! and congratulations again!

Don't be surprised if you get there today and it's down. My jeans were fitting tight and and I was CERTAIN it was up.. I went in for my fill on monday and got on the scale.. and it was down 5 lbs. Then again I got on the scale at the gym yesterday and it was up 9.8lbs from my dr's office.

get some ankle weights and wear long pants... viola.. 10lbs... once you're qualified there's nothing they can do

We must share parallel weightloss lives LMAO.. I've been SO bad all week, and I was on the phone telling my BFF how scared I am to step on the scale tomorrow at the dr's when I go get my fill..as I read this.. OMGOODNESS.. all I'm gonna say is, spent 450 at dave & buster's today during the super bowl...and I tried EVERYTHING lol...I shouldn't laugh...I should be disgusted with myself, in fact I am.. UGH. I go to the dr's for a fill tomorrow at 10:30...pray for me.

So I've figured out my weakness and what I need to stay away from... CARBS.. carbs carbs and more carbs. I already KNEW they were my weakness, but I didn't realize just how bad it was. I've been doing great post op, losing, etc... This week I've been moving and having my kitchen boxed up and unavailable I've been eating out lots, fast food... (I know, I know) I thought oh I'll just eat the meat... Which would have been ok, until I realized I need a FILL (SO glad I'm getting one on Monday) and I'm eating everything in sight blah. Buns, tortillas, rolls, breads... I'd been almost 8 weeks without them and in just one week weight is back in my face.. just one week. That's all it took.. So now that I've seen the other side and how quickly it can come and go.. GONE in the bread and simple carb. GONE GONE GONE and so will my double chin be, hopefully in time for my date.:biggrin: Liquid diet and working out, my chins were the first thing to go, and the first thing to come back.. EEEEEK!! So I've got the next week to get it together! Stupid carbs! lol

I'm sitting here blogging when I should be packing and moving. PROCRASTINATION - LOL - Anyways I'm going through clothes seeing what fits and doesn't fit so I don't take it all with me. As I'm going through things and realizing the bulk of my clothes are either too big or too small I started to think about all of the changes that have happened to me and my body is the last couple of months (including pre-op) and it's just AMAZING. Everything in my life has gotten better. I have a pretty great life anyways, but I feel better, I look better, my business has gotten better, my home has gotten better, finances, etc... just everything seems to be falling into place. Moreover, it's only going to continue to get better; and those are the changes I'm SO excited for. I found a pic of me and my mom from my wedding day 8 yrs ago size 26 bride in a size 30 wedding dress because you know they run small and I remember at the time feeling pretty but uncomfortable. Not at all what I imagined I would feel like as a bride. I feel better on a daily basis than I felt on that day all done up. But now, as I enter into my relationship with my special friend, I can't help but smile when I realize I will NOT have "fat" wedding pictures. In just over a month I went from "cute pics" but having to use the infamous fat girl angles to get them to being able to take a pic straight on and from almost any angle. And it's paid off, some offers have come my way from some people I've dealt with in my past and some new people as well. They can tell from a pic if you're using an angle to create a look. But they've noticed the difference in just the few new pics I've taken and now.. I'm sitting here wondering... Is it crazy that at 33 I'm considering going back into plus size modeling? I stopped when I was 21 and started packing on weight, especially in my face. But as it comes off...I'm thinking hmmm I could totally do this. I know I don't "look" 33 to most people but now I have to sit back and figure out if this is really what I want to do. I already run my own business, a church (churches) and act as a personal assistant to two people. Not sure when I would make time for it. But it's a dream deferred so to do it, or not to do it? Not many women my age get this opportunity or these types of offers.. I should take it. I still have weight to lose before I go full force into it because unlike in my day if you were a plus size model you were actually plus sized.. now you're a size 10-12 and they photoshop you fatter lol.. The differences just amaze me though, in such little time... just amazing.. God Results! Before with a camera angle.. Last week... straight on.. no camera angle.

Congratulations on the 10lbs that's a great first week! Glad you're healing quickly as well! I have some great protein smoothie recipes in my blog that are HIGH in protein and delicious. I've come up with some new ones over the last month, I need to update them.. my standard is 1/2 apple 1/2 banana 6 strawberries 1 tablespoon of agave nectar 1/2 cup of fage greek yogurt 2 scoops vanilla protein powder 4oz of skim milk (can go up to 8 for a thinner shake) handful of ice and blend... Makes 32 oz and had 54 grams of protein.

LOL you and me both, I got them angles DOWN girl lol... thank you so much for the compliments. It feels SO good to be able to turn my webcam on at pretty much any time and not have to prop it up on boxes and pillows or to just snap a pic with my friends and not have to hide my chins behind my hair or someone's shoulder or hand or or or..gimme a minute I can come up with more lol. As for my ethnicity I'm 1/2 black and 1/2 white (Black Irish and Italian).

Without knowing how and what you eat it would be hard to say or offer any assistance. It's possible you're not taking in enough calories so your body is holding on to what it does get (most common in people who are stalled with the band). It's also possible you're eating slider foods. Or eating like someone maintaining and not someone losing. It's hard to say without knowing more information. Hope you find your sweet spot soon!

LOL no not really... I only dream if it means something usually. But your dream is interesting.... 11 being the number of change and new beginnings it's a master number. 11 lbs... perhaps your worried/feel as if your weight is controlling things right now. And for your dr to be "unavailable" yet passing by with foods you aren't supposed to be eating... shows a desire/craving for those foods. The having to "prove" yourself to him... how you feel about others in your life? As if you know that you're doing everything right but you may feel like others around you are watching everything and questioning like "are you REALLY?!??!?" type of situation.. very very interesting indeed.
