As far as getting the preocedure done, it was basically a 5 month process. After I did all my meetings, paperwork, testing, etc. As far as the actual procedure, it took probably about 2 1/2 hours, and I was the first surgery of the day. I stayed over night although most do not. It is typically a day stay surgery. Good luck, it has been the best decision of my life. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

will you tell me how long the procedure takes and how long after could you leave the hospital. I was thinking about having the procedure. -
I am thinking about getting the lap band done and was wondering how long did the actual procedure take and how long did it take for you to leave the hospital?
