    Trip to Lane Bryant

    Congratulations.:ohmy: That must have felt great. I cannot wait to get in the same position, although I am with adagray. My shopping is easy now with limited choices--I now will have to "shop around" for real.

    4th of July Challenge!

    Ask and you shall receive:tongue2: I will do one and post-it after this challenge is over. Christmas is way top long for me. Besides I have a cruise in October--need that labor day challenge to get to my cruise goal!! Down 2lbs! Hope my fill tomorrow will help the rest of the pounds--if not, I am good!!!
  3. Dottie--thinking of you for your surgery. I know you will do fine:thumbup:--sorry I cannot farm--I cannot even keep my cafe going! Karen--alright on the exercise--what DVD's are you doing--I was wondering because I use "The Firm" that comes with weights and has four tapes for cardio and sculpting Bob--hope things loosen up a bit. I am now curious about this 3rd fill and what it will do!

    Any January 2010 Bandsters????

    I have had 2 fills--I get my third fill next week--it has been six weeks, so I am definitely ready because weight loss has slowed, but I am still pleased because I have lost a lot of inches. I have 5.5 cc's in a 14cc band. I have kicked up the exercise as well which has helped with the inches--weights and cardio:thumbup:
  5. Christie--"Hi I am batman" as well. However, like Karen I have The Firm DVDS that come with weights as well and they are getting more defined, but still "I believe I can Fly" Stacie--I know how you feel. My husband and I want to have children, but we are very content without them--we like getting up and going and spending money on ourselves. Also I have 450 students--they are all the children I need. Karen--I love the BB, it is figuring out the calorie thing too. I trying to find a happy medium--I cannot eat all the calories it suggests--over 2000 some days! However,eating to low of calories may slow me down. So far, hitting 1400-2000 on workout days seems to work. The only bad things is having to eat a snack when I am not hungry--defeats the whole eating only when your hungry thing, but I try to make something with protein. I have definitely decided to go short again and get color--might as well go for the gold, right?

How's the BB? I still trying to figure out this calorie thing--Trying to increase calories on workout days. Denise--I am typing on my new iPad right now--love it! My county gave all the administrators one who would come to a tech training. My husband says I will do anything for a gadget! Bob--I concur on the fill. I get one next week. I too almost ate a whole sub today, but I had yogurt too Btw, my soft sign is burping or combo of hiccup and burp. Lately, I just stop at about a cup of food--no restriction and no sign some days. Nothing new with me--anxiously waiting my 3rd fill and contemplating cutting my thinning hair. Hello to everyone else

    Any January 2010 Bandsters????

    Today is my 5mth bandiversary, so I recapped my progress in another thread, but I will respost here: June 09--first 6mth visit--BMI of 63%: initial referral 383lbs:cursing: Dec 15--last 6mth visit--354lbs:wink2: Dec 31, 2009-Jan 14 (surgery day)--pre-op diet 334:smile2: Jan 15, 2010-June 14--290 and bunches of inches:thumbup: Sizes--30/32 to 22/24, 20 (tops) All that with a lot of hard work, little restriction and 2 fills, and cardio/weight workouts a minimum of 4 times a week. So for anyone struggling, you can do it--it is hard work, but it is achievable work. Hey I am no bean pole--still a long way to go, but I can see some progress! Yeah to all my Jan band journeys!!!

  13. My first fill was a no go--I had to go back because he could not access my port--the second fill took awhile but he was able to do it. I go for 3rd fill the end of this month--it gets easier everytime I am sorry you have had so much trouble. I hope the surgery will be helpful in getting you better fills.

I thought it was just me--since my mother says it has to be nice when you say something, I declined to respond because I could not think of anything but duh--it is probably empty, you're probably on liquids--why do you need restriction, or even this band thing is not going to be pretty for you if you want restriction the first day.

    Should be fine--formula in cell was deleted That is happening alot. To everyone, just a reminder, just enter your weight with a plus or minus to indicate gain or loss. Do not enter anything in the cells that are not highlighted in yellow--ie, you do not have to enter total weight loss or ending weight. Once you enter your weight, those will be calculated automatically!
  16. Raw veggies especially lettuce don't go down as well for me, so no it is not a slider. I usually get a grilled chicken salad, eat all the chicken first, then eat the lettuce as I really have to concentrate chewing it. I am better with shredded lettuce and use that often!

  18. Your cravings do subside or change. I was carb/bread addict myself, but not a huge fan of fish--now I crave fish and crabcakes often or other protein. I never was a cake/sweet eater, so really not a problem now. Same thing with peanut butter--yuck before the band, now I am eating the reduced fat creamy all the time--putting it in shakes, spreading on bananas or whole-wheat crackers.

  23. I am also always cold--keep a coat in my office, car, and sit under a blanket sometimes at the house when hubby has the air cranking!!!

    Do you journal?

    I too use livestrong.com/dailyplate. Now do I do it every single day--no, but it is great tool to track not just calories but my Fiber, carbs, and sodium (water retention so I have to pay attention to salt) which I cannot do in my head. Now if I have eaten typical foods that I already know the calories and all the other information, then I do not journal. I especially like to use it to pre-plan, like if I am going to restaurant, I go ahead and log so I can see the calories, etc. When you are reprogramming and unlearning habits, not being cognizant about what I ate helped get me here. There were some days I ate fast food for every meal and even though some of it was healthy, the portion size still packed in the calories. Whether you journal or not I feel is less important than some kind of awareness of what you're eating. If anything journaling provides discipline--which I had lacked. Your band, your journey, your way...:confused:
