    11 Week Post-Op Update

Congradulations on your time on the 5K. You can do anything that you set your mind to. I have never been 145 lbs. My whole life I have been about 250 lbs. By the time I had my surgey I was up to 273. I am now down to 235. I can't weight to see 200 lbs. I have small goals with an ultimate goal of 150. I will see it. But is going to slow. Good luck on the Jan. race.

    Help!!!!!

Good luck on the marathon. Wish I could run a marathon. I am just getting over a broken foot that they have no idea how I broke it. I have been told that I can break it again if I walk on it the wrong way. I have been at a stand still. On the 1st of Dec. I started to work out. Have been doing the treadmill and bike last week and monday the personal trainer showed me the machines and I hope that I get to work out at least 2 times a week. I really did enjoy it. I am going to take it easy and work my way up to 3 times a week. It is hard to find time with my work schedule and my kids schedule. We all are on different time schedules. I had my surgery in April and only have lost about 50 lbs so far. Good luck and keep up the good work.

need help getting back on track

I too have had a loss in my family and I was constantly throwing up when I ate, even liquid stuff. My doctor told me that the band will constrict when I am upset. He suggested that I take it easy on my self and not worry about getting my fill at that time. He refused to give me a fill at that time. I am at a stand still at this time but with the holidays and family stress, I am holding off on a fill due to I still have trouble with throwing up after eating. Going to enjoy the holidays with my family.

how do you know if your approved?

Call you insurance company and get the confirmatin number. I got a letter from insurance stating that I do qualify, and they will pay, but no confirmation number. When time came they refused to pay:cursing:. Had to post pone my surgery and jump through more hoops and get a appeal before they agreed to pay for the surgery. Once I had the confirmation number I had 30 days to get the surgery done or I had to go through everything again. I was able to get the surgery done and insurance payed for it:thumbup:. Lots of prayers went up for me from my family and friends. I will say one for you. Good luck.
