I decided in May of 2009 that I was going to have the surgery.  I had developed so many health problems from my weight, and was miserable all the time.  I have diabetes,high blood pressure,high cholestorol, fatty liver disease, knee and back problems.  My surgery date was 11/18/09, it seemed like that day would never get here.  It's been a week and 3 days since my surgery, and I'm feeling pretty good.  I'm down 16 pounds.  I feel like I've been given a second chance.  I know it's not going to be easy, but I know with prayer and the support of my family I can do this. This is the beginning of a new phase of my life, a much fuller and happier one.  I can't wait to play outside with my grandkids! I pray for everyone here as we start a journey to a much better place.
