I'm 46 and have struggled with weight loss all my life. As I am getting older I see my mom who is also over weight struggle so much and I told myself I did not want to be that way when i got to be her age, so I decided to do something about it. New Years 2009 I made a resolution that I was going to take charge of this problem and started at work looking into insurance to see if i was covered and the rest is history! I tried to convence my mom to do it with me that we could do it together but she was scared. I on the other hand have always done my surgeries well, thank god!! Now i'm living for today and get surprises everyday about myself and it's only been a week. I'm happy about my decision so far. I have had some support but for the most part i'm on my own, I have to be the one to say yay or nay and thats what it is going to be all about thru my journey with the band, listening to my body.
