  1. How intense is your work out. For example what level are you doing on the elliptical? I am slow loser. I stay at 1000-1200 cal and do an hour of rigorous cardio 7 days a week.
  2. Chicken breast is my main source of protein and I have no trouble eating it. The only time I've had issues is if the meat is SUPER dry.
  3. My doctor believes that I should be able to eat normal food just less of it. Yesterday I went out for my birthday and ordered a single serving thin crust pizza and gave half of it away to my super thin niece and my brother in law. Note two things birthday and gave away half. I used to be the kind of person who ate pizza EVERY DAY and would eat most of a small pizza. Now it's more of a celebratory meal. I second that you can usually find lower calorie choices at fast food restaurants. Once a week I go to Denny's for brunch and order egg whites (ask for limited fat for the cooking), turkey bacon and whole wheat pancakes. I do use syrup. It's my treat for the week.

    Soup Brands And Snacks?!

For a smooth soup I really like Pacific brand (sometimes found in the Organic isle) tomato/sweet Red Pepper soup.

    Red Zone?

I am at restriction and can swallow pills. The only thing I would have trouble with is really big pills. After all food goes down why wouldn’t medication? I second about walking for exercise. Also I was allowed to resume swimming 2 weeks post op. I would speak with your gyno about whether you could swim a couple weeks post op. Esp. if they do the surgery vaginally.

    Soo Frustrated- Still No Restriction

I did not start to get restriction until 10.6 in a 11 CC band. Get a digital food scale if you have'nt yet and measure your protein out and when it's gone no seconds. Fill the rest of the way with low fat/cal veggies.

    First Bad Fill...4Cc

It can take a while for the liquid to settle in the band. Remember the band is connected to living/moving tissue. It's getting josaled around constantly.

Vommitting & Pain After A Fill

Go back to the doctor asap. You should never vomit from drinking water!

    Not Getting Enough Protein

For breakfast I have non fat chobani Greek yogurt with fruit with the following mix ins: 1 tsp non flavored benefiber powder, 1/2 scoop vanilla whey isolate protein powder, splendra (non fat Greek yogurt can be sour), once you mix those all together add 1/3 cup Kashi high protein cereal.
  10. I really enjoyed Pacific brand tomato/sweet red pepper soup at that point (found in soup or organic isle). Before heating would add salt free chicken flavored Mrs. Dash spice; tasted wonderful.

    Burning Sensation After Fill

I don't think you ruined anything but I bet your stomach is swollen/tender now. I would do a day of full liquids (protein shakes and smooth soups); and then a day of mushies. If you try solids to soon after a major stuck episode you will only make things worse.
  12. I did not get restriction until 10.6 in a 11 CC band. Depending on how much fill you had you may never have gotten restriction. Go in and ask for a fill.
  13. I think you are too tight. I am at restriction and do not PB or throw up.

    So Frustrated!

I would'nt feel like exercising if I was only on 600 cal a day either. Personally I think your intake is way to low. You need to be really careful with Protein intake otherwise your body will start eating heart muscle. Look up why anorexics and bulimics have heart attacks. Am I being a bit of an alarmist, yes. But this is why the doctors stress eating protein. Could your band actually be too tight? Can you eat 3 oz of solid protein at lunch and dinner? And have veggies? If not you are too tight.

    Vegetables And Fruit

Only veg I have trouble with is raw carrot. I can eat them with hummus. Just make sure to portion control the hummus.

    Silly Question

My doctor said surgery was day one. I was scheduled for a 11:00 surgery which due to complications from the 10:00 surgery I was pushed out to 4:30. Buy the time they got me to my room all I did was sleep until day 2.
  17. If you are not better I would call the doctors office today (yes it's Sunday but you don't want to get dehydrated from not drinking); and ask if he put any fill in the band during surgery. I have read many posts of people who are having trouble drinking after surgery and their doctors put 1-2 CC's in the band. The swelling from surgery and the fill is too much for them. Once that fill is removed they are fine. Don't worry about not having that initial fill in 4 weeks once you are healed you can start fills.
  18. Hiatal hernias cause heartburn and that would'nt be obvious to anyone. It would also explain why you can't eat normally for 4 weeks. Unless you can take 4 weeks off. I was only out of work for 5 business days. Though I am a consultant and work from home so I was able to go on my own schedule (take naps) if I needed them once I returned to working.
  19. From what you are saying it sounds like you need a tiny unfill. My doctor says if I can't eat 3 oz of solid Protein at lunch and dinner and have veggies and perhaps fruit at both I am too tight. Disheartening I know but this is lifelong journey. Better to get a slight unfill on your terms than a full unfill while on vacation.

    Banded 2/14

Jello is more of a solid, you should be fine with liquid. If you have problems with liquid check with your doctor to see if they added any fill during the surgery. Most of the time when some is having a lot of trouble with liquids post op it's because the doctor added a fill. When the fill is removed they do much better.

    Protein Shakes

From Smoothie King website: http://www.smoothieking.com/smoothies/smoothie-detail.php?id=74 Note they come in several sizes so make sure you get the smallest.
  22. While I can get only being able to drink at breakfast; if you have trouble the rest of the day you sre too tight. I can't tell you how many people have posted on here who are as tight as you and a month later report their band has slipped. Be very care full.

    Protein Shakes

Saw Muscle Milk Light ready to drink at Costco today. I don't think it's something they normally carry. 140 cal for 20 g protein.

    Exercise After The Band

On the treadmill day 4 slowly for 45 minutes. At two weeks I went back to lap swimming. I had been exercising 7 days a week pre surgery.

Is A 5 Pound Gain Possible?

I think some of the weight is from the crackers/sweets/fried food and brownies; and the some is from the high salt content that is fast/fried food. If you MUST have a snack at night I would make it chicken breast, or veggies. Because crunchy carbs are my down fall I don't keep them in my house at all. Full disclosure I had chips and salsa, and cheesecake at a Super Bowl party and it took me a week to loose those 4 pounds that were there Monday morning. Stupid Patriots!!!
