I would say after. Specifically red meat will loose significant mass when heated. -
I second the small blender from Hamilton Beach works really well with ice cubes. Really can't be beat for the price. For ready to drink premier brand from Costco or Sam's is very good. When looking for protein powder whey isolate is a higher quality of protein and what my doctor called for. I recommend looking at the Vitamin Shoppe the employees know a lot about protein powder. Their prices are very good and they will allow you to return for exchange if you decide you don't like a flavor.

What do you think Re: liquid diet
honk replied to Lionbird's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would do 200 low fat Protein. Skip the fat you don't want your body burning food you are eating. You want it burning body fat. My doctor puts some on a 500 liquid diet for MONTHS. -
My doctor says I should be able to eat 3 oz solid protein lunch and dinner. For breakfast I have Greek yogurt and half scoop protein powder and high protein Kashi go lean. I get my protein in. Is your band too tight? You should be able to get your protein from solids.
-
I would confirm about no stress full cardio for 4 months. That seems really odd.
-
Too tight! Meals should not take more than 20 minutes.

Ricotta and cottage cheese topped with smooth spaghetti sauce heated in the microwave. Like heaven after liquids!!!!! Greek yogurt blended to get rid of fruit chunks, splendor a to taste. Canned chicken mixed with low fat laughing cow also microwaved.

Please please please follow doctors orders about moving post op to reduce chance of blood clots. NON Band related. Woman at my company first day back from foot surgery collapsed at work and died from a blood clot. She was 33.

Are you weighing 3 oz of protein and eating low cal/fat/carb only veggies? If you don't measure you will overeat. -
I can eat popcorn but for me it's a slider meaning I can eat lots of it and never feel full. Movie theater popcorn is going to be horrifically high in fat in calories!

2 1/2 years out never burp ever. -
As mentioned above if you're in the hospital for 23 hours then it's considered outpatient. I had my surgery later in the day than originally planned like at 4 I stayed overnight and then was discharged by noon. I didn't really have any special painkillers but I was glad that I stayed overnight. For 1 thing the toilet was very close to my bed and I spent my night in the toilet every 20 minutes.

That's what my surgeon charges the insurance company. Now that my insurance does not cover fills that's what I would have to pay. I would ask them if they have a CashPay price. I would call the billing office because they may know about a cash pay price where is the office my .not

Okay not trying to be a witch but you are not on clears. That would be broth and jello only. I realize this is tough. You'll make it.

I guess this comes from growing up poor. I would have a problem throwing a way sealed food. Bring it to the fire department or a nursing home . My sister is a EMT for her town's volunteer ambulance. Many of the staff are high school jrs and SRS who want to be doctors/nurses; they would welcome your treats.

Is anyone finding they are exhausted after exercising?
honk replied to Giovy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, it is important to remember your body will break down muscle to get the protein if desperate enough. That is why anorexics have heart attacks! -
