Gez, where to begin...I had read about the lap band proceedure online years and years ago. It was not until I heard that it was now offered in my home town that I decided to get a consultation. I had researched it before and weighed my options if I were to get it at an out of town location it really did not seem like the best of decision. When I went to my consultation I was more than impressed. Most difficult part was ensuring I could secure financing. To which I did. I started my pre-op diet on November 24th and I will have my surgery on December 8th. I am excited and looking forward to the challenges ahead. I have done many diets before that did not work. I would have minimum sucess just to gain it all back plus more. I feel that I will have the greatest chance at success with the lapband proceedure. My dietician told me about this site, so here I am. I am glad I am not alone in this journey! I have a excellent support system! My husband has been awesome. We have been together 8yrs and married for 1.5yrs. I love him with all my heart.
