I have been working on all of the groundwork to have LapBand surgery for more than a year now and recently received insurance approval.  My surgery date is January 21, only 8 weeks to go.  I can't wait to feel healthier.  For the last few years it seems my health keeps going downhill.  I don't enjoy doing so many things that I enjoyed in the past because my size makes it so difficult or painful.  The list of co-mobidites is so long.  I hope so much to feel better this time next year.  I have tried every diet I know, and had success with some.  However, I always seem to gain it all back, plus an extra few pounds.  I have yo-yo dieted myself to super morbid obesity.  My family, career as well as my health have suffered because I just can't seem to control it on my own.  I know that I will never repair all the damage I have done to my body, but hopefully I can stop and reverse some of it.   I have attended so many seminars and classes getting to this point, I have no questions or fears on the procedure.  I am more concerned in finding the discipline to eat the right things and exercise regularly.  I read some of the blogs, and find they are very helpful.  I think that support of others, experiencing the same thing will be helpful.  I am looking for that support here.  So far my family is totally supportive, they just want me to live.  I have not told very many friends, I am so embarassed to have put myself in this position.I would love to hear from others.
