My surgery is in 2 weeks and I am a little worried about the first week of the clear liquid diet. How do you get in enough protein? Would anyone like to share their liquid diet stories?

My surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow. I'm ready to make some changes in my life. This is the only life I have and I don't want to spend it wishing that I was thinner, or had more energy to play with my kids or just clean the house. I'm so nervous though. I keep wondering how I will make it a whole week on clear liquids, or will I be able to stop the bad eating habits I have now. I have heard about people who decide to eat during that first week and become violently ill. That is a motivator right there to not cheat. It is all just so different and scary but exciting. I started this journey back in June with my first consultation at Top Surgeons and now in only two weeks my life will be forever changed and I will make a new me.

I just wanted to say good luck. My surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow. I am also very nervous, but I feel that I am making a good decision. If I don't do this now I may not be around as long as I want to be for my kids. Best of luck to you. -
I just scheduled my surgery for 12/28/09 with Top Surgeons. I had all of my pre-op done in June. I have been discouraged by the poor customer service and staff at Top Surgeons. I almost gave up but finally decided to go ahead with surgery. I'm nervous after reading some of peoples posts about Top Surgeons but then I have also read raves about the Surgeons. I guess I have a month if I decide to change mind. Does anyone on here get their fills and post op appointments done in Palmdale? Just wondering if that office and Dr.'s are any good.
