I was banded in Tijuana Mexico 2 weeks ago and my business partner was banded yesterday by the same doctor in Tijuana Mexico and the experience was great..... We live in San Diego so its easy access for us but the Dr Kuri and his staff are excellent... the hospital was beautiful... I have been in many US ooperating rooms and delt with US hospital staff with my job and my experience in Mexico was really good... Dr Kuri has placed almost 3000 bands and his complication rate is 1% so if your looking for a referal and Mexico is an option I highly recommend Dr Kuri

everything is going to be fine!! I suggest you buy yourself a big bottle of rescue remedy and the spray bottle and use it until you feel better.. you can't od on it.. you can also try valerian which is the herbal form of valuim.. Nerves before surgery are normal... I am not banded yet but everyone I have spoken to in person who is banded said they would do it again in a heart beat. They LOVE their weight loss and healthier self! Hang in there!

Maybe before you see this doctor you should start to take steps to help your body with the anemia. I go anemic with my periods and its not fun. You can eat black strap molasses (which I am told if you are anemic will taste like candy to you and once your body resumes normal levels will not taste good anymore) You can also get Floridex which I believe is liquid and a natural iron supplement. Also I suggest eating some red meat. Keep your head up dealing with the anemia will make you feel better even if its just around your period ya know!

you can also use ginger root to control nausea .. I use a ginger tincture and put a few drops in crystal light and sip on it and it takes away the nausea. Or you can get real ginger root and add it to tea.

A suggestion for the gas! There are many homeopathics you can use for gas one is called carbo veg and Hyland's, Gas which has Nux Moschata 3X HPUS, Asafoetida 3X HPUS, Ignatia Amara 3X HPUS, Lycopodium Clavatum 6X HPUS, In a Base of Lactose, USP and there are other homeoptahics and they can be used with other meds. You dissolve them under your tongue and they do really work. You can order them online or get them from wholefoods or Henry's. I plan to take my portable kit and use them in conjuction with walking, walking walking. I have it in pill form I also use the cream for healing but not on open wounds. I am scheduled for 9/19 I will be going to Dr Kuri in Mexico.. I am excited and ready to go! He doesn't require fasting before unless u have a BMI of greater than 45 which I do not. I will get all of my pre op testing done on Monday the 18th the day before the surgery. I will have to fast for 7 hours before the blood work. Then I get a last meal in Mexico and off to the races (so to speak) the next morning. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS MONTH!!!!!

Hello everyone! I am new here and just finding my way around. I am considering lapband surgery very soon.. Anyhow.. What I do know is that a natural way to deal with "panic attacks" is to buy Bach Flower "Rescue Remedy" I would buy the spray version and spray 2 squirts before you go in for a fill. It helps calm your nerves and is completely safe. We use it all the time.
