Ok I have seen a thousand threads about cheating and preop diets etc and "thought" compared to some mine wasn't too bad...boy was I wrong! Here's what I can have... Powerade, gatorade, apple or orange juice-2 cups daily milk 1 cup or 8oz yogurt-3 servings daily atkins or no sugar added carnation instant b. 1-2 daily and unlimited ....sugar free Jello, sf popsicles, broth, crystal light, propel... I'm going NUTS! I SOO want a bacon and sausage pizza! SO BADLY!!! I keep saying just one time just this one time I'll cheat...kicker is I'm only on DAY 2!!! Surgery is Feb 11th...how many people out there cheated?? Hubby is WICKED supportive and keeps telling me think end result etc....I seriously wanna cheat and not tell, LMAO...:frown:

Help! I SOO want to cheat!!!
oceansunset24 replied to oceansunset24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you! I know deep down inside I wont or cant cheat, but its the devil on my shoulder! LOL Because I would feel horrible if I did cheat, but its hard to listen to everyone else that hasnt been through it to keep doing it ya know? One can only say so much unless you have been there too, thats why I love this forum, thanks for the words of encouragement keep em coming, LOL. =) You may think this is harsh, but think of the pre-op diet as getting you ready for the drastic change of eating habits you are going to have to stick to for the rest of your life! It starts now. Plus, part of the reason you are on the pre-op is to prepare your body physiologically for the stresses of the surgery. Hang in there... your husband is SO RIGHT! Think end result and how much doing this is going to prove to yourself that you care about yourself enough to go through all of this to be healthy!!! -

Still on the fence about getting lapband or gastric sleeve. Any advice?
oceansunset24 replied to mom2four's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
just my two cents, but as a military wife myself, that was the first thing my doc said was that it is really big overseas and if i had to go to germany etc they know what their doing. Either surgery...i feel you have to be ready to change how youre living now eating habits etc...because if it was all as easy as surgery we wouldnt have obese people. Im due to go in feb 11th!! for the band, my big decision maker was its not permanant persay, granted they dont want to take it out but it can be....your regular anatomy is not changed doing this -

Hey February 2010 Bandsters!
oceansunset24 replied to Northern Mist's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
#1. Surgery date? Tentatively Feb 11th!!! #2. State you live in? Massachusetts #3. Doctor/Surgery Center? Dr. Adam Glasgow #4. Insurance or self pay? Insurance #5. Age and height 35, 5'5 1/2" (dont forget that half inch, lol) #6. Current weight and goal weight? wow...284, goal 160 #7. What was your deciding factor for having this surgery? Family history and fear of going down the same path as my families medical histories. And tired of not being able to do what I use to. #7. Do you have the support of family and friends? Thankfully yes! Hubby is awesome and familiy and friends have been very supportive. Happy to finally be able to be posting in a "month" of bandsters, instead of standing by watching everyone join what month they were getting banded in, LOL -
Im wondering if anyone has found a digital food scale helpful in post banding? I have a regular one, but was wondering if it was something you find you def use and would be more beneficial to get a new digital one?
