Well, I have been overweight for years now. Going up and down. Trying every diet in the world it seems like. I had heard about the bariatric surgery a few years ago and though "I would never" I can do it on my own how hard can it be? BOY was I in for a big surprise. I couldn't do it on my own. The years of self loathing and trying were awful. The c-pap came, then the metformin, then the asthma....I am only 33 for pete's sake! I am a single mom and thought if I was going to make it...to live the life I wanted, then I needed to get healthy! That is when I decided to attend my first meeting. I haven't looked back since. It was hard work, but worth it. I have met some of the most amazing people through this journey...I am SO happy to have found my second family! I can do it! You are never alone!!
