  1. Had occasional heartburn/indigestion before surgery but good grief if I don't keep omeprazole and Zantac down I'm having horrible reflux. I'm 5 weeks post-op and was really hoping some of the reflux would have gone away. No such luck. Anybody else dealing with this as a result of being sleeved? Have you found things that work best for you? I'm hoping this isn't for life and yes my Dr warned me but my mind was already made up on sleeve.
  2. I can't believe that by next week I should have an answer from the insurance. It's crazy to think that if I'm approved I'll be sleeved in the next few weeks. The dr has agreed to help me get surgery before March 31st because on April 1 my insurance changes. Please send good vibes my way. I really don't want to go through this process with another insurance company if I'm denied.

Thank you. We don't have to do the liquid diet pre-op just the day before. Then there's a drink we take that cleans you out. May be what they use for colonoscopy but not sure.

I got approval today! Now I'm waiting for the surgery scheduler to call. Let me know your current status.
  6. Joyrokk, I bet you are really excited. I hope everything goes smoothly. Let us all know how it goes tomorrow. Good luck to you. That would be awesome if I could get sleeved before April. I better have all my ducks in a row if that's even possible. I do plan on calling the new insurance tomorrow, HR, the drs office and anybody else that could help.
  7. So, I have just made the decision that gastric sleeve is what I want. I called Cigna, and my current plan will cover 100% once I get approval. Ok, I can jump through their hoops and do what they need me to do for 100% coverage. Today, I check the mail to find out our insurance will change to United April 1st. My first Drs appointment is on Feb 10th. So now what? Will I have to start all over again with new insurance April 1st? Has anyone else had this happen? I would like to have surgery ASAP. I'm sure everyone here pre sleeve feels that way too.
