  1. Happy 36th Birthday Ya-Ya!

  2. Happy 35th Birthday Ya-Ya!

  3. Hey Ya-Ya! How are you feeling? Day 4 is here... down 9 pounds total. I gained some weight on Thanksgiving and didn't weigh myself before surgery, so I'm not quite sure how much was from surgery and how much was from pre-op. I estimate I was about 246 going into surgery, and I was at 240.5 this morning. Yay!!! How are you feeling? I still have port pain and gas pain in my left/right shoulders.

  4. Now that it has been a few days, how are you feeling?
  5. Hello Team. I was banded yesterday at about 3:00 p.m. I had terrible back pain the rest of the day (Doc said it was the gas), and in the evening he finally gave me something for the pain (and it disappeared) and I slept well. The doctor kept me overnight and I returned home today. I'm feeling better. I'm just trying to get used to the "heart burn" pain that comes and goes in my chest. Is that normal? I also feel really hungary and nothing seems to keep me full (broths only succeed for about a couple hours). Crytal Lights help too. Let me know if you know of any other ways to beat the hungar pains. Hope all of you are doing well.
  6. Hello November Knockouts. I was banded yesterday. I had terrible back pain and the doctor had to give me pain killers so I could sleep. I feel better today, but this heart-burn feeling in my chest is a little frightning. Did anyone else get the "heart burn feeling." When did it eventually go away? Yesenia
  7. By this time tomorrow, I will be banded. My surgery is tomorrow and I'm very excited. "Inhisplan" - you won't really start losing until after your first fill (at least that's what I hear from several folks). Also, my friend (who was banded in June 2008), went for her first adjustment just two weeks after her surgery and she started losing weight immediately (went from 190 to 130 in less than six months). You have control over how much weight you lose (and how fast), by deciding how often to obtain adjustments and how many cc's of salin are injected into the band (with the doctor's authority of course). Best of luck to all of you.
  8. JeniBeni - I am getting banded tomorrow morning too by Dr. Gonzalez in Tijuana (a friend referred me to him - she loved him). I'd love to track our progress. I'm getting a little nervous, but I want to get it overwith already. I'm getting up at 4:45 a.m. and my apt. is at 8:00 a.m. (Yikes)

  9. I would like to lose about 55-60 pounds.
  10. Hello all. I had my consultation today, and I am scheduled to have my surgery on Friday, November 27, 2009. I'll be on my liquid diet all week, which means I won't be going to family's for Thanksgiving dinner (that would be torture). Good luck to all of you!
  11. Hello all. I had my consultation today, and I am scheduled to have my surgery on Friday, November 27, 2009. I'll be on my liquid diet all week, which means I won't be going to family's for Thanksgiving dinner (that would be torture). I've only told my partner, and two friends. (My family would think I've lost it if I shared this with them). I hope to lose 65 pounds. Good luck to all of you! Looking foward to supporting all of you.
