  1. Happy 43rd Birthday cawells!

  2. Hi again. I am sure you have been usuing the Realize site since you have not been on in a while. How do you like it? How have you done so far? I am scheduled to have surgery on 2/03. Hope all is well with you and your husband.

  3. Hi - Just want to check in and see how you and your husband are doing now that you are banded. Have you been using the Realize website? If so, do you like it? Hope all is well. Kim

  4. I got a Wii fit plus for xmas too. I LOVE IT!!! It seems like too much fun to be exercise but when i wake up the next day, I can definately feel my workout. Be sure to workout the next levels. Once you get good at one "game" you can move up a level. They are usually harder and longer. I "rode my bike" up hills for 30 mins the other night and I'm still feeling it. I recommend everyone get one. Its a great calorie, bmi and weight tracker too.:smile2:

You should bring a neck pillow, like the traveling ones? My neck was so greatful I did so it didnt get stiff when resting sitting up.
  6. Disney is VERY accomidating to any special diet. You just need to tell the waitress or call ahead and let them know what your diet is. As far as telling your friend? that might be hard to keep from him if you are having just liquids and he's eating a steak? It also may be hard for you if he is not privy to your condition. You are going to have to be careful of your stitches and certain rides may jostel you too much or lap bars may come down in the wrong place. You might have to tell him you had surgery. You could always just say a "female surgery". Most men wont ask questions. Hope you have fun.
  7. Thanks so much, Ladies for all your advice. The drugs and blood thinner makes sense, I just havent had "aunt flo" for a while and its NOT a welcomed guest.
  8. Ok, ladies, I've been on Depo provera and have not had a period in 3 years. I am 6 days post op and started my period last night. This is very strange for me and was wondering if anyone else experienced this. Is this a coinsidence or did surgery/drugs "knock out" my Depo Shot? I was spoiled for 3 years not having one and this is definately not a time I would want it.
  9. My sister gave me a nice soft neck pillow before my surgery. I almost didnt bring it thinking I really wouldnt need it. Boy am I glad I did. It was so nice to use especially when you need to sleep sitting up, your neck doesnt hurt. Even the nurses commented on the pillow and how it looked comfy. I would definately bring one if you have it or go out and buy one if you dont. It also helps at home when having to sleep on your back or even sitting up in a chair.

2 days post op. Gas pains are worse for me than the incision pain. I had a hard time the first day as the anethesia did not agree with me. I couldnt get up and walk as much as I needed to due to nausea. Luckily the nausea has passed. Yes, I'm sore, yes, I have gas but this too shall pass. (no pun intended)

OMG! 32 hours and counting. I never thought I would be excited about getting surgery.
  12. I think its my normal allergy/sinus problems. Its better today. No tickle but I still have the post nasal drip. Still drugging myself up and keeping my fingers crossed, just in case.
  13. So I did call my dr's office and tell them how I was feeling. The nurse said as long as there is no fever and I'm breathing ok, its no problem. I think I just have post nasal drip from allergies. Dr said it was ok to take claritin. Taking claritin, Vitamin c, and sitting over a vaporizer. Not taking any chances. 2 more days!!!
  14. Yeah, I've been sitting with the vaporizer running and I told the pharmacist I was having surgery and got some medicine to take that wont affect my surgery. Also loading up on vitamin C. Its just the darn tickle. No coughing or congestion. Oh, man. I hope this goes away.
  15. I was wanting to know if anyone got sick before their surgery and if so, did you tell your doctor? I have a "tickle" in my throat and think I might be getting a cold. I dont have any other symptoms and have been sitting over my menthol humidifier. I'm hoping it's just dry air or allergies but if it turns into a cold, should I tell my dr? My surgery is Saturday and there is no postponing. If I dont get my surgery Saturday, I never will due to circumstance. Whatcha think?
