It's just time. After being overweight my entire life it is time. my husband and i want a child more than anything but we feel my weight is out of control and are unsure that my body could handle a pregnancy...nor are we willing to take the risks that come along with pregnancies in overweight woman...too many risks for the baby. We had turned to adoptions and/or foster care as a alternative to having our own. But then it dawned on me. Why not fix the problem...do something to help myself. I am scheduled for surgery January 14 and I am just overjoyed and scared and excited....I am just ready to start the rest of my life! I have my preop appointment on January 5th and start my preop diet on the 4th.  There are 100 things that i cant wait to do once I start losing weight. I hope to establish a few really great supportive friendships on LBT. As supportive as my family is, they cant understand like someone going through the process would. Lets do this together!!!!!!!
