A great day has come for me! :thumbdown: My insurance approved surgery! March 3rd is the date but I have a ton of appointments to get to first. I feel very blessed. This is my year and yours too! :thumbup: Vios Con Dios!

Only one week left! I am jealous, I havent been approved yet! I'm sure it isn't easy but your 1/2 way there! Hang in there!! =)

Almost two weeks and nothing from the insurance company! Maybe this week will bring good news. I am starting on a new unit at work and preparing for a RN entrance exam that I have to take on the 9th so I should be pretty busy and hopefully not dwelling on hearing from the insurance company! Anyone know the process if your denied by insurance? I hope I don't have to go through that! Have a great week!

I have BCBS State Health Plan (Minnesota). I just finished my 5th month visit with the dietitian and had my paperwork submitted last week. Haven't heard anything yet but my Dr and dietitian both say they have had approvals after 5 months with the 6th visit scheduled. How far are you in the process? -
It's been almost a week and still no word on my insurance approval! Grrrr! I think I have probably gained weight. Stressing out! I will work on getting back on track. If I do get approved I don't want to have to start over with what I've been working on for the last 5 months.... smaller bites, chewing longer, exercising... Hope everyone is having a great day! I feel like it is my time to start taking care of myself. It is hard though. I have 6 kids and were always busy with something. It is hard to justify focusing on myself and not the needs of the family. I work fulltime and I am trying to take classes toward my RN. It is hard to find time for everything! Thank goodness the kids are between 19 & 7 years old so they can help some (Even though they really don't want too!). Am I crazy?

I have a question for all the post band surgery people. I am wondering if the emotional attachment to food goes away? I have been keeping a food diary and trying to watch my portions but I eat when I am not hungry a LOT! How will I ever keep myself from eating for the sake of bordem? HELP!

"Head Hunger" that's it! It has helped that I am drinking a lot more water. Now as the anticipation for a surgery date is increasing I seem to be having an easier time staying away from some of my food demons! Thanks Ladies for the chat!

I am doing well. I am hoping to have everything in place by the end of Feb. I would really love to be banded before my birthday at the end of March! We will see. I will just keep working on the dietitions recommendations in the meantime. Hope your New Year is going well! Oh... You think your cold? It has been -0 in MN for the last week! -20 below at night! Burrrr!!
