Just got back from Kaiser. Met with Dr. Park for my 6 wk follow up. Didn't get a fill. Lost 14 lbs. since surgery. She said she gave me good restriction at the time of surgery (4cc). Although I don't feel any restriction. I don't feel hungry between meals either so I guess it's working as designed? I was hoping for some of the restriction I have heard about with other on this site. Oh well... All is good, Tamra and Pat, if you already have 4cc's, don't expect a fill. Now I am a bit bummed because I brought puree's to work thinking I would get a fill. Hope everyone has a great day.

Once the sun comes out again... I live in Concord and have a pool. It's down at the moment - no need to heat it now - but when summer comes around, I will have everyone over for laps. Which should help the knee. I'am off for the night. My husband hogs the computer at home. So I will catch all of your tomorrow.

I enjoy reading everyone's posts. You guys are a hoot.

In Dec, when I was at the final orientation before surgery, Liz asked what I was doing for support and I told her about you guy and the site. I told her that I haven't met any of you yet but it sound like a group I can fit in with... She said "Great... I know most of those ladies and they are really nice." She never spoke badly of anyone on this site or even about the site itself. Nor did she tell me to avoid this group. They may be watching what they say a bit more now that the group is much larger. For all you Sacramen'in's, I understand your fustration about so many visits to Richmond. I think Kaiser should expand this program to your area. I work for a General Contractor who is actually married to a big wig at Kaiser. From what I understand, she is a hard ass about setting proceedures and making sure the people are happy with Kaiser. I think she had alot to do with the surveys they send after a visit. They do look at those surveys so make sure you respond. Try and be short and to the point. I will see if I can do anything on this end.

Hi Everyone, My name is Cindy and I don't have a lot of time to post things but I try and log on everyday to get inspired by everyone's support and progress. My husband and I are involved with the Sea Scout ship Albatross and my Sat. are busy doing that so I will have a hard time making the support groups on Sat. I was born and raised in ElSobrante and now live in Concord. I don't have any kids... we tried for a long time and now I'm 42, we are thinking about adoption. Pat & Tamra: I am a couple week ahead of you on the surgery and I am on stage IV. I don't feel much restriction anymore. I lost 15 during Stage I through III and gained 5 on Stage IV. I was very excited about eating real food!! Maybe too excited, I have to start watching my portion size closely. I will try and post more and I would love to meet you guys. Until then, I will enjoy reading about your progress hopefully on a daily basis.

Don't get too excited about the Wed call from Robin. When she called me, she said in 2 days you can advance to the next stage. It was 2 weeks exactly when she called so I don't know why she made me go another 2 days.

I had the same thing happen with the diarrhea. Are you taking the CVS calcium chews? It took a month for Robin to finally find the reason for my diarrhea. It was the chews. I can now swallow small pills so when I switched the diarrhea stop immediately. Good luck.

I had the same thing happen. I don't think it's the tea. It will get better in a couple days. It might be the beans from TB.

Sorry I don't write much. I'm pretty busy at work. Things are a bit slow today so I have a chance to visit this site. This group is really active. It's hard to keep up.

Congrads Riley. I had my surgery on 1/5/10 and they didn't give me any pills before or after. Everything went great. I was home by 1:00 pm. The pain is fine the day of, but the next day will be a bit harder. Mostly sitting up by yourself.

Hi everyone: Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. My surgery is scheduled for Jan 5th in Richmond with Dr. Park. Did anyone one else have to take antibotics prior to surgery? What a pain it has been. And, I haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks. Is this normal?

I just logged on to my Kaiser account and noticed my doc perscribed Metronidazole, tetracycline, bismuth, and omeprazole. Is this normal? I guess I will find out tomorrow. Hopefully it will not delay scheduling the surgery?
