I have been obese since childhood, i felt oberseity was something to be ashamed of, I knew I was overwieght, but I could ignore it as long as everyone else did. Now in my late 20s, I not only feel bad emotionally but now physically. After being diagnoised with ovarian cyst syndrom, insulin resistance, and infertility. The doctors could have easily told me that my weight was my problem, but insurance doesn't cover obesity, so there's no money in it, so instead I was told pills were the answer, granted I did have a baby. After my first child, and the risks that occurred during child birth leading to an emergency c-section. It was a wake up call, I had risked my child's saftey with my obesity, so I asked, " Is it cause I am obese?" the answer I finally received was "yes". After taken my health in my own hands at that moment, I began to research all about obesity. Now at my heaviest, I am determined to end my knee pain, shortness of breath, and be able to play with my lil boy. And not beat myself up over something that I can change,....that I will change.
