I have been battling being overweight since my college years and have gone up and down over and over with weight gain and loss. I am from South Louisiana, a Coon Ass, so I grew up where every event or get together centered around food. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and sleep apnea all now and my father had 5 bypass surgery last year, my grandfather died of a heart attack when he was 42 and I don't want to end up in their shoes. So i have decided to take matters into my own hands and change my life for the better. So my lapband journey begins.
